The warm sunlight of the café bathed Lin Yue, yet she felt no warmth at all. 0

Lynn sat in a corner of the café, tightly gripping her phone, the screen displaying a message from her sister, Lin Wan. 0

Her emotions were complex, a mix of relief at her sister's safe return and disappointment over Lin Wan's irresponsible behavior. 0

The message had come from an unfamiliar number, simply stating, "Sis, I went traveling. I'm back." This stirred an inexplicable anger within Lynn. 0

She had worried endlessly for her sister, even coming close to being assaulted by Jiang Chen, while to Lin Wan, it seemed like nothing more than a joke. 0

Lynn's gaze drifted outside until a familiar figure appeared in her line of sight. Lin Wan, her twin sister, entered the café with a carefree smile, as if nothing had happened. 0

"Sis, you're here!" Lin Wan's voice carried a playful tone as she sat down across from Lynn, completely oblivious to the pain in Lynn's eyes. 0

Taking a deep breath to steady herself, Lynn attempted to calm her emotions. "Wan'er, do you have any idea how worried I've been while you were gone?" Her voice trembled slightly. 0

Lin Wan chuckled lightly, seemingly unconcerned. "Sis, I know you care about me, but I'm an adult now. I can take care of myself." 0

A wave of helplessness washed over Lynn. She understood her sister's desire for independence, but Lin Wan's disappearance and those private photos left Lynn with no choice but to worry. 0

"Wan'er, you don't know what I've gone through for you..." 0

Before she could finish her sentence, Lin Wan's phone rang—it was a call from Lu Tingxiao. Lynn's heart raced as she carefully answered the call. 0

"Wan'er, where are you? I need you to come back and handle some things," Lu Tingxiao's voice came through the phone. 0

"Wan'er?" 0

Lin Wan's gaze flickered between Lin Yue and her phone, a hint of confusion crossing her features. "Sister, what is your relationship with Mr. Lu?" 0

Lin Yue's heart tightened; she knew the answer to this question could change everything. "Wan'er, it's not what you think..." 0

Lin Wan's expression darkened, jealousy creeping into her voice. "Sister, how could you? You took away the president who should have belonged to me!" 0

Lin Yue felt her heart tremble; she had never imagined her sister would misunderstand her like this. "Wan'er, I didn't... I went to the company just to find clues about your disappearance. I wanted to find you." 0

"You didn't? Then why are you always with him? Don't you know I've had a crush on him all along?" Lin Wan's voice was laced with anger. 0

Lin Yue felt a wave of suffocation; she didn't know how to explain her position. "Wan'er, I..." 0

"I don't want to hear your explanation!" Lin Wan interrupted, standing up with tears glistening in her eyes. "Sister, I never thought you were this kind of person!" 0

Lin Yue's heart felt like it was being sliced open as she watched her sister turn away, unable to utter a word. Pain and helplessness filled her; she knew she had to find a way to resolve this issue, not just for herself but for her sister as well. 0

The café door slowly closed behind Lin Wan as Lin Yue sat alone by the window. The sunlight remained warm, but her heart felt like it had fallen into an ice cavern. She understood that she needed to find a solution, not only for herself but also for her sister. 0

Taking a deep breath, she picked up her phone and dialed Lu Tingxiao's number. "Mr. Lu, I need your help." 0
