Another new day arrived. Despite the absence of brilliant sunshine, Lin Yuan felt wonderful. He had completely shed the identity of a Mountain Bike. His movements were no longer stiff; there was even a hint of fluidity to them. Of course, that was just his own perception. After all, one must be optimistic about life, even if he was uncertain whether he could still be considered human. 0

As he hummed an unknown tune in his heart, Lin Yuan eagerly dragged the wreckage of the Mechanical Spider into the warehouse, preparing to study it closely. There was a saying: know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated. 0

The Mechanical Spider was quite lightweight; Lin Yuan estimated it weighed no more than twenty kilograms. From the perspective of his ancient twenty-first-century knowledge, its overall construction was impressive—there wasn't a single visible weld, and the joints were connected perfectly. 0

However, Lin Yuan noticed something: although the Mechanical Spider looked good overall, certain areas that were prone to wear showed some damage. This damage wasn't structural; rather, it seemed like non-combat wear and tear, as if it had been weathered over many years by wind and rain, gradually eroding its surface. 0

This discovery caught Lin Yuan's attention. He confirmed that the material used to construct this Mechanical Spider was likely not steel as he knew it but something else entirely. In any case, it appeared to be very sturdy and resistant to wear. Yet, if such a material could wear down to this extent, it raised a significant question: how long had this Mechanical Spider been here? It must have been for a very long time—at least a hundred years! 0

Lin Yuan could even imagine this creature patrolling the rubble-strewn Ruined City tirelessly day and night. Regardless of the weather, its originally robust body had gradually begun to show signs of wear. Even its Laser Gun was likely an old relic by now; no wonder it could only fire once every ten seconds. 0

With this deduction in mind, Lin Yuan became even more puzzled. If that were the case, where had all the humans on Earth gone? Had they all perished? 0

This speculation left Lin Yuan feeling somewhat melancholic. What could be more cruel than living alone on a vast planet? 0

Fortunately, Lin Yuan quickly regained his optimism as he remembered that he no longer considered himself entirely human. 0

After placing the wreckage of the Mechanical Spider alongside that of the e1-level Mechanical Warrior, Lin Yuan thought it wise to keep them stored away for future use; he might need some mechanical parts from them at any time. 0

Next, Lin Yuan began preparing for his second expedition since becoming a Mechanical Warrior. In truth, there wasn't much to prepare for; his Mechanical Body didn't feel fatigue. As long as he had energy, he could move tirelessly. 0

This time, Lin Yuan aimed to investigate three peculiar human vehicles he had previously discovered that were not severely damaged. He believed he could find something useful among them. 0

Bouncing out of the warehouse with enthusiasm, Lin Yuan quickly reached a high point amidst the ruins. It was worth mentioning that when he modified his Mechanical Legs earlier, he focused solely on enhancing their jumping ability. As a result, walking normally was impossible; he could only hop forward like a Kangaroo—somewhat odd yet amusing. 0

Now with an Auditory Radar that covered a radius of one hundred meters, Lin Yuan felt bolder. After carefully scanning in all directions—north, south, east, west—he confirmed everything was safe before approaching the three strange vehicles arranged in a semicircle. They had no wheels and resembled large flat loaves of bread in appearance. 0

First, Lin Yuan confirmed that there was no residual energy. Unfortunately, there were no clues; the three vehicles had likely been abandoned here for a long time, covered in dust and toppled among the ruins. The damage to them could be attributed to two causes. The first was a hole the size of a basin, piercing through from front to back. Despite the passage of time, Lin Yuan could still discern burn marks around the edges of the hole. 0

This was definitely the terrifying damage caused by high-tech weaponry, such as a Laser Cannon. 0

Two of the vehicles had been destroyed by this type of attack, and they were completely empty inside, with no remnants left behind and no doors opened. Lin Yuan suspected that the passengers inside had been completely vaporized by that violent strike. 0

The last vehicle, however, appeared to have been cleaved open by a large blade. The violence of the act was evident; from the cleaving marks, it was clear that the entire process had been instantaneous. 0

Inside this vehicle, there were many items preserved, including a nearly weathered human leg bone. When Lin Yuan gently touched it with his Mechanical Arm, it instantly crumbled into dust, further proving that this city had been destroyed at least a hundred years ago or even longer. 0

At this moment, Lin Yuan couldn't afford to dwell on thoughts or emotions. He squeezed through the opening created by the cleaved vehicle and began searching carefully. However, many items inside were close to a weathered state; any slight movement would turn them into fragments. Fortunately, he wasn't without gains; he ultimately found three items that had not been eroded by time. 0

The first item resembled a soda can, but the incomplete Chinese characters on it confirmed to Lin Yuan that it was a type of liquid collector—specifically for collecting Clean Drinking Water. However, this item was useless to Lin Yuan since he wasn't thirsty, so he set it aside. 0

The second item was a very exquisite Blue Ring. It was just the right size to fit into one hand and could be adjusted for tightness. Above this ring was a rectangular Metal Block measuring about four centimeters in height, six centimeters in width, and twelve centimeters in length. He couldn't tell what material it was made of; regardless of how much time had passed, it still looked as good as new. 0

In front of this Metal Block was a circular hole about the thickness of a finger. Lin Yuan stared at this hole for some time but couldn't figure out its purpose. Just then, he accidentally touched somewhere else and heard a soft "whoosh." A shadow shot out from that hole at high speed, almost hitting Lin Yuan's Mechanical Arm! It finally lodged itself firmly into the top of the vehicle! 0

This sudden situation startled Lin Yuan, but once he understood what had happened, he couldn't help but feel immense joy because it turned out to be something similar to a Hand Drill. However, instead of being like a regular Hand Drill, it was finger-thick and had considerable impact force. Behind it was a rope as thick as a pencil lead and thirty meters long, looking very sturdy. 0

Lin Yuan couldn't help but exclaim in admiration. This was truly a treasure for home travel or even for killing and looting! Given the impact force of that Hand Drill, it would likely be more ferocious than a bullet; if aimed at someone and triggered, they would undoubtedly die! 0

Such a good item could not be overlooked by Lin Yuan! 0

The third item was completely unfamiliar to Lin Yuan because it was also the largest—an exact one-meter cube with seams so tight that there wasn't even a hint of its purpose visible anywhere. At first glance, it looked like nothing more than a metal weight. 0

Lin Yuan tried to move it, but he felt quite frustrated; the metal block was surprisingly heavy. However, he didn't believe that the owner of this obviously abandoned vehicle would install such a heavy metal block for no reason. Undoubtedly, it must be a high-tech product, but he had no idea how to activate it. 0

Like a headless fly, Lin Yuan explored every inch around him. He was determined not to give up because he knew very well that his current physical condition was quite weak. Perhaps this unknown high-tech product could provide him with some assistance. 0

After a long period of careful probing and research, Lin Yuan finally discovered something different at one corner of the metal block. When his mechanical arm pressed against that spot, it surprisingly clicked down lightly. Immediately afterward, a low humming sound echoed, but it soon stopped. 0

"Warning! Warning! Insufficient energy. F1-class intelligent mining vehicle cannot be activated. Please supply at least 0 units of standard energy! Please replenish energy..." 0

A sudden mechanical voice emerged from the metal block, nearly startling Lin Yuan out of his wits. It took him a moment to regain his composure. 0

"F1-class mining vehicle? What is that?" Lin Yuan was somewhat dazed, but curiosity bubbled within him. After thinking for a moment, he aimed his mechanical arm at the spot he had just pressed. He intended to see if the energy units in his body could be transferred over, but unexpectedly, a piece of information popped into his mind. 0

"F1-class intelligent mining vehicle detected. Data has been added to the Intelligent Brain Encyclopedia. Data transmission in progress, data analysis in progress, data generation in progress. Please wait patiently! Beep!" 0

"Data generated: F1-class intelligent mining vehicle, developed in the year 800 of the Cosmic Calendar, utilizing first-generation Centrifugal Stone Technology. It can operate intelligently and mine iron, gold, silver, copper, manganese, zinc, sulfur, magnesium, phosphorus, lead, and 900 other basic and composite minerals. It can perform basic synthesis and smelting operations with a mechanical utilization rate of 10%. It requires standard energy consumption; each kilogram of refined steel mined and smelted consumes 0.01 standard energy." 0

"Note: Would you like to input energy into the F1-class intelligent mining vehicle? Minimum input standard: 0 units!" 0
