Because of Liu Ying and the others joining, I now enjoy going to the office more.
"Let's continue playing games," I said excitedly.
"Sure," Liu Ying and the others replied in unison.
"What game are we playing today?" Liu Ying asked me.
"We're playing a horror game today," I said happily.
"Sounds good," they agreed without hesitation.
"It’s starting now," I announced, and the game began.
Liu Ying and the others had become a part of my company. Their role was as game streamers, and they occasionally made skits as well. They were doing well and getting along harmoniously with other colleagues.
"We probably won't leave the company," Liu Ying discussed privately.
"We all like this company," Yang Liang added.
"Right, we’ll stay here in the future," Jiang Qiao chimed in.
"We're not leaving," Meng Ze affirmed.
"Mm," I said, feeling relieved.
"We will definitely work hard," Liu Ying and the others declared together.
"Mm," I responded, touched by their words.
As a result, those who were originally dissatisfied with the company began to resign one after another. They couldn't handle the work pressure and were also afraid of me.
"Why are they resigning so easily?" I asked in confusion.
"They're probably scared of you," Zhang Liangshan speculated.
"Oh," I understood now.
"With them resigning, we can recruit new people," Zhang Liangshan said cheerfully.
"Mm," I nodded in agreement.
"I want to hire a lot of new people," I looked at Zhang Liangshan and stated firmly.
"Okay," Zhang Liangshan immediately agreed.
"I want potential candidates," I said seriously.
"Understood," Zhang Liangshan quickly grasped my intent.
Just like that, Zhang Liangshan went to execute the plan.
In just a few days, many newcomers arrived at the company.
"Are these all newcomers?" I asked in surprise.
"Yes," Zhang Liangshan replied calmly.
"They're so handsome," I couldn't help but say.
"Right?" Zhang Liangshan said proudly.
"Yeah," I responded happily.
"They're all tall and good-looking guys," Zhang Liangshan boasted.
"Not bad," I admired.
"Is there anyone you like?" Zhang Liangshan asked me.
"I like them all quite a bit," I replied nonchalantly.
"That's good," Zhang Liangshan said, relieved.
"Mm-hmm," I said cheerfully.
"You can go ahead and get busy," I told Zhang Liangshan as I looked at him.
"Okay," he agreed.
And just like that, the company welcomed many new faces.
Bo Jingtian also heard about my fondness for the newcomers at the company.
"She can't possibly like them, can she?" Bo Jingtian speculated.
"No way, she's mine," he asserted firmly.
"I can't lose her," Bo Jingtian thought, growing increasingly anxious.
"I can't let her like someone else," he decided to take action.
"I want her to stay by my side forever," Bo Jingtian resolved with determination.
"I want her to only like me," he said seriously.
With that, Bo Jingtian left work early.
He returned to Sunshine Villa but didn't see me there.
"Where's Madam?" Bo Jingtian asked the maid.
"Madam went to a team-building event at the company," the maid replied.
"Team-building?" Bo Jingtian frowned.
"Mm." The maid nodded.
"Who is she team-building with?" Bo Jingtian asked, displeased.
"With the newcomers," the maid replied honestly.
"Newcomers?" Bo Jingtian instantly understood.
"Yes," the maid nodded again.
"I see," Bo Jingtian said, feeling dejected.
"Sir, would you like to eat something?" the maid asked cautiously.
"I'm not hungry," Bo Jingtian refused.
"Oh." The maid dared not say more.
"She would rather go team-building than have dinner with me," Bo Jingtian thought, feeling miserable.
"In her heart, I'm not even as important as Uncle Luo," Bo Jingtian suddenly realized.
"At least Uncle Luo can chat with her, while I can only see her at night." The more he thought about it, the more wronged he felt.
"Is she going to abandon me?" Bo Jingtian began to feel anxious.
"What should I do?" Bo Jingtian was at a loss.
And so, Bo Jingtian sat in the living room all night long.
It wasn't until dawn that I returned.
"You’re back," Bo Jingtian said when he saw me.
"Mm." I responded lightly.
"Have you been drinking?" Bo Jingtian remarked, noticing the smell of alcohol.
"Mm." I admitted it.
"You had fun with those people, didn't you?" Bo Jingtian said, a hint of jealousy in his voice.
"Mm." I answered honestly.
"You..." Bo Jingtian was so angry he couldn't find words.
"I'm tired; I’m going to rest now." I didn't want to say much to Bo Jingtian.
"Do you hate me?" Bo Jingtian asked me.
"Huh?" I was taken aback.
"Do you hate me?" Bo Jingtian asked again.
"I don’t hate you," I quickly denied.
"Do you like me?" Bo Jingtian pressed on.
"I..." I hesitated.
"Don't you like me?" Bo Jingtian asked, a hint of disappointment in his voice.
"My feelings for you are only based on your appearance and your money," I confessed.
"Is that all?" Bo Jingtian said, sounding sad.
"Yes," I admitted.
"I understand," Bo Jingtian replied, looking lost.
"Are you okay?" I asked, glancing at him.
"I'm fine," he said, pretending to be strong.
"Oh," I responded lightly.
"Um..." I started but then paused.
"What is it?" Bo Jingtian looked at me.
"Should we take a break for a while?" I suggested.
"Why?" he asked, confused.
"We can understand ourselves better this way," I said seriously.
"You don't like me, so you want to break up, right?" Bo Jingtian said sadly.
"I..." I was at a loss for words.
"Isn't that true?" he stared at me.
"Yes," I admitted again.
"Alright, let's break up," Bo Jingtian said, heartbroken.
"Okay," I nodded.
"You should take care of yourself," he said gently.
"Yes," I replied obediently.
