The school arranged for a bus, and after gathering at the school, they all boarded the bus together. A lively group waited by the vehicle, chatting and laughing, which helped dispel some of the chill left by the heavy snow from a couple of days ago.
Rao Jie was naturally brought along by Wu Rong, who wanted to stay close to her. However, Rao Jie didn’t want that; it felt too awkward. Since everyone could bring their friends, many were not from the Mathematics Department, so Rao Jie didn’t feel out of place. She even ran into a few classmates she recognized and exchanged a few words with them.
Ye Ming was the last to arrive; as the event organizer, he acted like a tour guide arranging everything. First, he called out names to ensure everyone was present before organizing room assignments to avoid chaos later on.
Rao Jie was assigned to share a room with a Senior Sister from the Mathematics Department. Coincidentally, this Senior Sister had a good relationship with He Donglong. Long Yong cheerfully told the Senior Sister to help look after Rao Jie, prompting her to jokingly ask, "In what capacity? As a younger sister or as a sister-in-law?"
Those nearby who were having fun laughed upon hearing this; they didn’t really know anything but were just joking around. However, Rao Jie turned bright red from embarrassment. Meanwhile, Wu Rong, unable to join in with the students, looked increasingly displeased.
He thought he should have driven Rao Jie himself to avoid maintaining distance here, which only gave Long Yong an opportunity. After all, in situations like this, students usually mingled with students while teachers stuck together.
However, this situation did not last long. After the rooms were assigned, they got into the car directly. Rao Jie was the last to board, as she was held back by Senior Sister, who was chatting with her.
It was unclear whether it was intentional, but Senior Sister chose to sit next to He Dong, showing no intention of sitting with Rao Jie. There were only two empty seats on the entire bus, and they happened to be side by side. Was this a test for her?

Rao Jie really wanted to get off the bus right then. He Dong, sitting in front of Long Yong, took advantage of his status as Old President and pulled Rao Jie over, saying, "Rao Jie, sit here! Let's play cards together on the way!"
He Dong was naturally referring to the seat next to Long Yong. Just as Rao Jie was about to be pulled over, Wu Rong suddenly coughed.
