The direction we were heading back was against the flow of the Underground River, not completely along the riverbank, but rather diagonally towards the wall on the other side of the cave. 0

Our group was disrupted by Fatty, with two Hakka Men at the front, followed by me and Buasong carrying the injured. A San trailed behind us, while Fatty stayed with the two girls at the back. 0

I thought he was more likely keeping an eye on Tang Yumo. As long as Tang Yumo was near him, the other two Hakka People wouldn’t do anything too outrageous. 0

Currently, aside from the last three people who weren’t carrying much weight, everyone else had heavy loads. Even the Vietnamese I had envied at first was now bent over under a nearly hundred-pound backpack. 0

Under the guidance of the Hakka People, we quickly left the banks of the Underground River and entered a jungle of stalactites and stone pillars. Here, I could no longer discern direction, and we couldn’t walk in a straight line; we had to navigate through the maze of stalactites and stone pillars. 0

However, Fatty never questioned our path; he had walked this way before and should have some recollection of it. From what I could see, we were likely heading in the right direction. 0

The two Hakka People led us with torches, and what puzzled me was that we hadn’t encountered any Monsters along the way. Those Blood-Eyed Monsters shouldn’t be afraid of fire, yet none appeared during our journey. It wasn’t until our first break that we realized we had been safe all along. I began to suspect that those creatures only existed on the opposite bank of the Underground River. 0

After nearly eight hours of walking, I could no longer hold on. Upon hearing Fatty ’s whistle for a break, I nearly collapsed onto the ground. Jack wasn’t having an easy time either; his wound was painful, and in this cold environment, his sweat soaked my back completely. 0
After eating something, I curled up beside the campfire and fell asleep. I don’t even have the energy to argue with Fatty. I was woken up by Fatty, and his ferocious face appeared in front of me with a weak smile. "Keep an eye on me for a while, wake me up in an hour, and we'll set off." I really wanted to leave my shoe prints on his fat face. I turned around and looked around. Everyone was sleeping, including Jack. The pain didn't stop him from sleeping. "Don't you want to order something from me?" I asked him in a low voice. "What is all this going on?" Fatty put a finger in front of his lips and mouthed: "Not here." I grabbed his finger and still asked him in a low voice: "Is that so? Are they serious? " Fatty nodded seriously. Mouthed: "I will try to tell you everything after I get out, and you will be surprised. Things are getting more and more interesting, definitely beyond your imagination." "But how do you want me to shoot the Guide you hired? Without them You can't find me at all. Also, I don't allow you to go crazy, no matter what the purpose is, don't kill them. This is my bottom line, the law is our bottom line." I said this sentence. Fatty. Although I am curious enough. But I can hold it back, but I must express my position immediately on this matter. I'm afraid he'll get out of control, lose control, and make a big mistake. Fatty was silent for a moment. "After we get down here." Fatty pointed down with a finger. "They attacked me." 0
"What?!" I couldn't help but exclaim. 0

Fatty quickly gestured for silence. 0

"Let's talk outside." 0

That was the last thing Fatty said to me. Then I heard his loud snoring, and I couldn't shake the feeling that he was just pretending to be asleep to avoid talking to me. Who could fall into a deep sleep with just a tilt of their head? 0

I was still fuming, contemplating whether to kick him awake when a fragrant checkered jacket suddenly draped over Fatty. I turned to see Xiao Ting. It seemed my voice had disturbed her. 0

Watching the way Xiao Ting looked at Fatty and her gentle movements stirred a pang of jealousy within me. Wasn't it a waste to show such tenderness to someone like him? 0

"Gangzi hasn't slept in a long time." 0

Xiao Ting sat beside Fatty, hugging her knees softly. However, her words didn't seem directed at me; they felt more like a musing to herself. 0

"At least three hours. He hadn't slept much before coming down. I was so sleepy that he carried me on his back for a while. If he delays even a minute, he might not make it in time to save you." 0

I thought to myself how nice it would be if I were a guy; I would definitely want to be the best friend of someone like him. 0

Xiao Ting turned to look at me, a thoughtful smile on her face. 0

"Is this what friendship between men looks like? I don't understand it, but I'm quite jealous of you." 0

I avoided Xiao Ting's gaze. I had been dodging it all along, and now I had finally gotten into trouble. My eyes shifted back to Fatty; yes, it was this Fatty that I was jealous of. 0

I couldn't continue this conversation. I had always held a psychological advantage over Fatty, even though I considered myself inferior in a fight; I had overwhelming advantages in other aspects. However, in this situation, I felt quite frustrated. Losing to Fatty in other areas was something I could brush off with a casual smile, but this time, I had already lost to him in certain respects. 0

But in front of women, especially those I had feelings for, losing in the mating game was something no male animal could take lightly. The fact that I hadn't exploded with anger was my greatest restraint. 0

Xiao Ting and I tacitly gave Fatty a little extra time to rest. Then, indulging my petty feelings, I kicked him hard on his ample backside. Fatty rolled over and got up, looking very much like a bear. 0

"What’s going on?" 0

"Did you fall asleep? It's time to head out," I teased, feeling irritable. 0

Fatty plopped back down on the ground, exclaiming, "You scared me! I thought something happened. Qiangzi, don’t be so jumpy; this place can be pretty alarming with any commotion." 0

"I believe it can be scary, but I don't believe it could scare you to death." 0

As Fatty pulled a piece of smoked meat from his backpack, he muttered, "Why don’t you believe it? Damn it… hey, you’re just circling around cursing at me. What do you know? You’ve read so many books that they’ve gone into the dog's belly. It’s people like you who repay kindness with malice." 0

I was left speechless. 0

I hadn’t expected him to hit my sore spot so directly; I really had no retort for him since I owed him my life. 0

We shouted so loudly that we woke everyone up. Each person reacted differently after getting up; some complained about being hungry and rummaged through their backpacks for food, while most hurriedly looked for a place to relieve themselves. 0

Xiao Ting and Tang Yumo linked arms and walked toward the shadows, clearly feeling the pressure as well. 0

Fatty called out to Xiao Ting as they ventured further into the darkness, “If anything happens, shout loudly.” 0

I thought to myself, is that even possible? No matter how bold a girl might be, she wouldn’t call out for help at such a moment, especially since both of them were rather reserved. But then I remembered that Fatty and Xiao Ting had shared many secrets during their time together. 0

With that thought, I couldn’t help but glare at him again. 0

Clearly, Fatty misunderstood my expression and forced a smile. “I was just reminding her. Two girls together should be fine.” 0

“The problem is you!” I huffed. 0
