"Hey! It's you causing all this trouble, isn't it?" I glared at him, my mouth pursed in anger.
He seemed surprised to see me talking to him, and quickly took a few steps back, his eyes wide open.
I saw him leave and thought he had abandoned me and run away. But after a few seconds, he came back and squatted by the stream.
"Can you... see me?" the boy asked softly.
I furrowed my brow and nodded.
"Of course I can see you. I can even see that you have white hair, haha," I remembered seeing him with that cautious expression and it made me want to laugh.
At that time, I was young and I thought he was a simpleton. How could a grown man not see it!
"How could you see it? You're just a mortal!" the boy muttered as he looked at his hand.
"Hey! I'm talking to you, why are you treating me like this?" I shouted at him in dissatisfaction.
"Hey!" Seeing him remain silent for a while, I scooped up some stream water and splashed it at him, only to find that the next second he had miraculously disappeared.
"Hey? Where is everyone?" I looked up curiously, but my foot was injured and I couldn't get up.
At that moment, a hand reached out.
"Get up!" His voice was very soft and gentle, like a breeze blowing by.
"Thank you!" I smiled and stood up with his help.
He waved his hand over my foot, and my injury immediately healed.
"Your punishment is over this time. If you bully the elderly again, I will make the dark clouds follow you every day!" The boy said coldly, hugging his arms.
"Bullying the elderly? Clearly, he bullied Gu Zhi first. I am just upholding justice!" I glared at him angrily, my face full of defiance.
"Owl Grandpa once said, children who bully old people are all bad kids," the boy said with a furrowed brow.
"You're the bad kid! Who are you anyway? How can you do magic? Are you a magician?" I walked to his side, looking left and right.
He seems to be no different from me except for his hair color. Oh, maybe it's his eyes? His eyes seem a little brighter than mine.
"Fool, why are you getting so close to me? I am a god!" The boy pushed the Muzi away with his hand, looking proud and spoiled.
"God? Hahaha~" Muzi She laughed heartily while holding her stomach.
"What are you laughing at?" The boy frowned angrily at her non-stop laughter.
"Are you the great White stag? Besides, there's no such thing as a god in the world!" Muzi waved her hand and laughed.
"How dare you mock God, I must punish you!" the boy said angrily.
"Come on! Come on! Lala~" I happily ran ahead, and he chased after me all the way.
The street was crowded, but he seemed out of place in the crowd.
I kept shuttling back and forth in the crowd, but he tiptoed like a little cat, quietly and cautiously, afraid of disturbing others.
"Hey! Why are you walking so slowly! If you go back any later, Gu Zhi will be beaten by his dad again," I said breathlessly as I held his hand and ran.
We had just arrived at Gu Zhi's house when we saw his drunken father chasing after him with a stick.
"You said you're a god, right? Hurry and save him!" I anxiously tugged at the boy's clothes.
His little hand gently pushed forward, and the man instantly fell to the ground.
"Wow! Amazing!" I ran to the old man and took a closer look.
"What's wrong with him?" I asked curiously.
"He's just sleeping," the boy said nonchalantly.
"Gu Zhi, let me introduce you to a new friend, he's amazing!" I said with a bright smile.
Gu Zhi looked puzzled, "Which friend? I didn't see anyone."
