No one could see her tears, and the moment she spoke, she felt a bitter lump in her throat, her voice slightly choked.

She saw the pain in Xiyue's eyes; he looked somewhat thin and fragile in the rain.
Although the palace servants were carefully holding an umbrella over him, to Qingya’s eyes, he seemed too weak to withstand the torrential downpour. Her heart tightened suddenly.

Before she could offer any explanation, Xiyue turned and left without looking back, his steps unsteady.
That night, amidst the heavy rain, Qingya lost Xiyue's affection and the tenderness he once showed her. She stood in the rain, her gaze hollow, as if she had lost her soul.
The next day, the Eunuch entered slowly with a group of palace attendants.
Qingya knelt on the ground, her heart aching as if it were being torn apart by the words of the imperial decree. She felt a deep sorrow that made her want to cry.
"Eternal Spring Palace, Consort Ya, your title as concubine is hereby revoked and you are demoted to commoner. You are to leave the palace immediately, without exception! This is an imperial command!"
Qingya trembled as she reached out to take the decree from the Eunuch's hands. Her lips quivered as she tried to respond, but ultimately no words came out. Tears fell unexpectedly, and as they dripped onto her hand, it felt as if she had been scalded; the hot tears seemed ready to burn her skin.
"Why has His Majesty suddenly done this?!" Qingya asked, her eyes blurred with tears as her close maid Dongmei helped her to her feet. She looked at the Eunuch who had delivered the decree, seeking answers.
She could not believe that Xiyue would be so heartless towards her.
Could it really be just because of what happened last night? Did Xiyue not trust her?
"Since ancient times, new faces have always been favored over old ones. Sister, it's time to accept reality."
From outside the room came Ling Jiarong's voice, and Qingya saw Ling Jiarong dressed in court attire, strutting in with a group of maidens surrounding her.
In that moment, everyone in the room knelt down and called out, "Long live Consort Rong!"
At that instant, Qingya realized she had lost.
And each time, she lost to Ling Jiarong. Each time, the one she loved ultimately betrayed her, filling her eyes with despair.

With Dongmei's support, Qingya slowly walked out of the house, each step feeling unbearably heavy, as if a thousand-pound burden pressed down on her.
She couldn't believe that Xiyue would treat her this way; he had promised to take good care of her.
The moment she stepped out of the Eternal Spring Palace, Qingya clearly heard Ling Jiarong instructing the maids, "This Palace wants this place to be free of that woman's presence!"
