Zhao Huiyin had recovered significantly, and the group continued on their journey.
This time, Zhao Huiyin was allowed to ride in the carriage due to her merits in protecting her master. She tossed her hair proudly and walked toward the carriage with her head held high.
Inside the carriage, Zhao Huiyin and Princess Yunshuang exchanged wide-eyed glances.

Moreover, since a princess must return home, Princess Yunshuang entered the palace with two maids, her expression sour as if she had bitten into bitter melon. Meanwhile, Zhao Huiyin followed Luo Hanfei back to the Prince's Residence, wearing a slight smirk of schadenfreude on her face.
Although she harbored strong dislike for Luo Hanfei, seeing Yunshuang's displeased expression brought her joy! She couldn't help but chuckle quietly, covering her mouth with her hand to avoid being noticed.
At home, there were several uninvited guests. Zhao Huiyin could tell from Luo Hanfei's expression that they were all young masters in splendid attire, dressed like flamboyant peacocks yet exuding an air of spoiled rich kids who did not contribute to society.
Zhao Huiyin had always harbored disdain for second-generation wealthy individuals... and for Luo Hanfei as well. She frowned and rolled her eyes secretly.
"I heard that this trip ended in vain?" The leader of the Blue Robe group spoke first, fanning himself while his eyes revealed contempt.
The person next to her immediately chimed in, his voice sharp and piercing, filled with the unique demeanor of a eunuch. "And he was even chased by assassins, almost causing Princess Yunshuang to get hurt!" He gestured dramatically as he spoke, his face a mask of exaggeration.
After several rounds of mockery, they all claimed he was incompetent.
Zhao Huiyin tilted her head, her eyes darting around. It seemed that since she had known Luo Hanfei, he really hadn’t accomplished much… except for chasing after women! She nodded inwardly.
Standing behind Luo Hanfei, Zhao Huiyin was lost in thought, her gaze wandering. She hadn’t expected the topic to shift to her; she listened in surprise, her eyes widening and her body stiffening slightly.
"He's even attracted this vulgar Maid. Lord Luo’s taste is getting worse by the day."
Hey, why are you dragging me into this? Zhao Huiyin wanted to shout, but these people might have significant backgrounds; they could be royal relatives! She moved her lips but held back, realizing it wasn’t worth the trouble. Instead, she continued to lower her head, drawing circles on the ground with her foot while cursing these petty people in her heart.
By the time those people left, she was nearly asleep, her head bobbing slightly.
Luo Hanfei shook her awake, startling Zhao Huiyin so much that she drooled a little. Embarrassed, she wiped her mouth. "Did they leave?"
In truth, she really didn’t understand what they were doing there; confusion lingered in her eyes.
"I need to enter the palace to meet the Emperor," Luo Hanfei said with a smile, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. "First, let the Maid take you to rest."
Behind them, several Maids had been waiting for a while. At Luo Hanfei’s command, they bowed and called out in unison, "Miss Zhao."
Suddenly feeling a bit uneasy, Zhao Huiyin shivered. This unease intensified after Luo Hanfei returned from the palace; she couldn’t shake the feeling that something bad was about to happen.
In those early days, Noble Lady Luo Hanfei was so busy that she hardly had time to pay attention to her. It wasn't until Zhao Huiyin became familiar with the palace that she learned the entire capital was buzzing with rumors about Lord Luo's scandalous affairs.
As she listened to the maids gossiping, she munched on sunflower seeds. With a status like Luo Hanfei's, every socialite in the capital aspired to marry him, yet his roguish nature was something few could tolerate.
In the end, only the princess could manage him.
