Chen Yan arrived at the restaurant with Liu Yuan and Beibei. He parked the car at the entrance and got out. Liu Yuan and Beibei followed him inside.
Chen Yan had waited for them at the amusement park entrance for a long time, sitting there and watching them play, feeling a bit frustrated. He hadn't expected them to take so long. With a sigh, he took out his phone to check nearby restaurants.
People nearby glanced at him and whispered, "Wow, that man is so handsome."
"Really."
"He's driving a Rolls-Royce."
"Such wealth."
"I wonder if he has a girlfriend."
"He must have one; a man like him must have many women chasing after him."
"Such a shame."
Chen Yan listened to their chatter with an expressionless face. After a while, he put his phone away and looked ahead. He smiled at Liu Yuan and Beibei and said, "Let's go."
Liu Yuan looked at him and asked, "Where to?"
"To eat," Chen Yan replied.
"Are you treating?" Liu Yuan inquired.
"Yes," Chen Yan confirmed.
"Then I want something good," she said.
"Alright," he responded.
Liu Yuan smiled and added, "I want something that costs ten thousand per person."
Chen Yan looked at her with some helplessness. "Don't joke around."
"I'm not joking," she insisted.
"Fine then," he conceded.
Liu Yuan looked at him and asked, "Really?"
Chen Yan nodded, "Yeah."
Liu Yuan smiled at him and said, "Then let's go."
Chen Yan smiled back and replied, "Alright."
They got into the car, with Chen Yan driving them to a high-end restaurant.
After parking the car, Chen Yan got out and opened the door for them.
Liu Yuan stepped out and hugged Beibei.
Chen Yan looked at her and smiled, saying, "Let me carry her."
Liu Yuan smiled back and replied, "No need."
Chen Yan looked at her curiously, asking, "Why not?"
Liu Yuan responded, "I don't want you to carry her."
Chen Yan pressed further, "Why?"
Liu Yuan simply said, "No reason."
Chen Yan looked at her with a hint of helplessness.
He reached out his hands, wanting to hold Beibei.
Beibei looked at him and said, "I don't want you to carry me; I want Mommy to carry me."
Chen Yan chuckled and replied, "Your mommy is tired."
Beibei considered this and said, "Okay then."
Chen Yan smiled again and reached out to pick her up.
Beibei looked at him and asked, "Daddy, can you carry a child?"
Chen Yan answered confidently, "Of course I can."
Beibei smiled and said, "Then go ahead and carry me."
Chen Yan grinned as he lifted her into his arms.
Looking at her with a smile, he asked, "What's your name?"
Beibei replied proudly, "My name is Beibei."
Chen Yan repeated her name, "Beibei?"
Beibei nodded enthusiastically, "Yeah."
Chen Yan smiled warmly and said, "That's a lovely name."
Beibei looked at him and smiled, saying, "Thank you, Dad."
Chen Yan gazed at her, feeling a mix of emotions. He realized that he seemed to have developed a fondness for this child. He smiled back at her and said, "Let's go."
Beibei asked, "Where are we going?"
Chen Yan replied, "We're going to eat."
"What are we eating?" Beibei inquired.
"What do you want to eat?" Chen Yan asked her.
"I want to eat fish," Beibei said.
"Fish?" Chen Yan echoed.
Beibei nodded, "Mm-hmm."
"Why do you like fish?" Chen Yan asked.
"Because fish is very tasty," Beibei answered.
"Then let's go eat fish," Chen Yan said.
Beibei smiled again and replied, "Okay."
They walked into the restaurant, and the waiter led them to a table.
Once seated, the waiter brought over the menu.
Chen Yan looked at Liu Yuan and said, "You can choose what you want to eat."
"I don't know what to eat," Liu Yuan replied.
"Then just order a few things," Chen Yan suggested.
"I don't know what's good," Liu Yuan said.
"Then I'll order," Chen Yan offered.
"Alright," Liu Yuan agreed.
Chen Yan examined the menu and began to place their orders.
Liu Yuan leaned toward Beibei and whispered, "You can't eat too much."
"Why?" Beibei asked her.
"Because your stomach isn't very good," Liu Yuan explained.
"Oh," Beibei responded.
Liu Yuan looked at her and said, "You can only eat one fish."
Beibei looked at her and replied, "Alright then."
Liu Yuan smiled at her and said, "If you like it, I'll bring you here again next time."
Beibei looked at her with excitement, "Really?"
Liu Yuan nodded, "Yes."
Beibei smiled and said, "Mom, you're so nice."
Liu Yuan smiled back and replied, "You're my precious daughter, of course I have to treat you well."
Beibei looked at her and said, "Mom, I love you."
Liu Yuan smiled again and said, "I love you too."
Chen Yan finished ordering and looked at them with a smile, asking, "What are you two talking about?"
Liu Yuan replied, "Nothing."
Chen Yan raised an eyebrow, "Nothing?"
Liu Yuan nodded, "Yes."
Chen Yan chuckled and said, "Alright then."
At that moment, his phone rang.
He took out his phone and looked at Liu Yuan, saying, "I'll step outside to take this call."
Liu Yuan responded with a nod.
Chen Yan stood up and left the table.
After he left, Beibei turned to Liu Yuan and whispered, "Mom, why does Dad always have to make phone calls?"
Liu Yuan explained, "Dad's job requires him to make calls often."
Beibei asked curiously, "What does Dad do for work?"
Liu Yuan replied, "Dad works in sales."
Beibei tilted her head and asked, "What is sales?"
Liu Yuan answered, "It's selling things."
Beibei thought for a moment and asked, "So is Dad in customer service?"
Liu Yuan smiled and said, "Something like that."
Beibei giggled and said, "So Dad is in customer service!"
Liu Yuan nodded with a smile, "Yes."
Beibei looked at her mother and asked, "Mom, what do you do for a living?"
Liu Yuan replied, "I am a fashion designer."
Beibei's curiosity continued, "What is fashion design?"
Liu Yuan explained, "It means designing clothes."
Beibei then asked, "So are you a boss too?"
Liu Yuan smiled and said, "I suppose so."
Beibei admired her, saying, "Mom, you are really amazing."
Liu Yuan chuckled softly and replied, "Thank you."
Beibei pressed on, "Mom, why are you so amazing?"
Liu Yuan answered, "Because I want to become stronger."
Beibei inquired further, "Why do you want to be stronger?"
Liu Yuan responded, "Because I want to protect you."
Beibei's eyes sparkled as she said, "Mom, I love you."
Liu Yuan smiled back and said, "I love you too."
At that moment, Chen Yan returned from his phone call and looked at them with a smile. "What are you two talking about?" he asked.
Liu Yuan replied casually, "Nothing much."
Chen Yan raised an eyebrow and asked, "Really?"
Liu Yuan nodded affirmatively.
Chen Yan turned to Beibei with a grin. "What were you just talking about?"
Beibei answered proudly, "We were talking about Mom's job."
Chen Yan looked intrigued. "Oh? What does your mom do?"
Beibei beamed and said, "Mom is a lady boss."
Chen Yan chuckled and replied, "Is that so?"
Beibei nodded enthusiastically. "Yes!"
