As soon as I heard that I could visit, I hurried to see Yin Li. When I reached his hospital bed, I saw that he was almost entirely wrapped in bandages. He asked me if I was okay when he noticed my arrival. I smiled and replied, "I just broke a few ribs; I'm feeling much better. But why are you wrapped up like a mummy?" He didn't respond to my comment but instead looked gloomy and said, "You didn't have to save me. I wasn't going to live much longer anyway." I frowned at him and retorted, "So you knew you were going to die? Should I just act as if you're already dead?!" He didn't say anything more and turned his head to look out the window. 0

I found a chair and sat beside his bed, asking if he wanted anything to eat, but he ignored me. Just as I was about to get up and leave, he suddenly turned his head and called out to me, "I didn't want to tell you this, but I've thought it over. Since you've already been dragged into this matter, it wouldn't be fair to keep anything from you. I've felt guilty about involving you, but I had no choice..." Hearing this made me want to punch him hard, if not for the fact that he was a patient. I held back my anger and said, "No need for apologies; you did it for a good reason. But since things have already happened, hurry up and tell me everything while you still can!" 0

He pondered for a moment before speaking: "Our Box has a name; mine is called Qi. As the name suggests, its purpose is to unlock one's own Void Spirit and other Boxes. Your Box is called Feng, which serves to seal Vengeful Spirits. However, without obtaining the power of Qi, you cannot fully utilize the power of Feng. Yet using the power of Qi comes at a great cost. Have you considered the connection between them?" 0

Yin Li's words piqued my interest, so I sat back down on the chair with a frown. "What you're saying makes sense; you're referring to the method of unlocking the Box and what lies within it, right?" 0

Yin Li nodded. "Exactly. The things inside the Box are used to seal and eliminate the malice of those Vengeful Spirits. However, this Hao Yin is eroding itself, including my Box. Only by ultimately merging with the Void Spirit can one create and use items capable of countering ghosts. The sealing spirit mark on that stone we saw in Baiyan Village could only be made by merging with the Void Spirit." 0

Suddenly, it felt like I had realized something important. I interjected, "If that's the case, it seems like there's still a missing link in this connection..." 0

He smiled slightly. "That's what I've been thinking too. After gaining Yin Li's memories, I learned that there are three Boxes in total: the first is Qi, the second is Feng, and as for the third one, I'm not sure. My intuition tells me that this Third Box is crucial and likely holds the key to unraveling Hao Yin. For the past two years, I've been searching for this Third Box but have found nothing so far. I've also considered that information about this Third Box might be hidden within the second Box." 0

I looked at the Hao Yin in my hand; it had grown another leaf and increased in size significantly. I sighed inwardly: perhaps I'd end up with a fate similar to his. "If you can't find the Third Box even with the help of your Void Spirit, how could I possibly do it alone?" I felt somewhat despondent. 0

Seeing my lack of confidence, he tried to comfort me: "But you have your second Box! The Sheepskin Book inside it can still be used even without merging with the Void Spirit. At least it can slow down Hao Yin's growth. Also, I've learned some fortune-telling skills; looking at your features—full cheeks and well-proportioned face—you definitely have a prosperous appearance and will surely turn misfortune into good luck." 0

His words made me chuckle: "You can read faces? Once you're discharged from here, we should set up a fortune-telling booth—I'll collect money while you do the readings..." 0

We continued chatting and laughing until late into the night. After bidding him farewell, I returned to my room to rest. The next day, as soon as I got up, I went back to Yin Li's ward to keep him company and take care of him. Days passed like this; through our time together, we became as close as brothers. Before long, I had recovered enough to handle my discharge procedures so that I could stay by Yin Li's side while he gradually improved and was able to get out of bed. 0

However, good times didn't last long. One evening after chatting with him as usual and having dinner together, he expressed a desire to go out onto the hospital terrace for some fresh air. Although I sensed something was off deep down, I still helped him out there. 0

He looked up at the gradually darkening sky and said, "It's been a long time since I breathed in the outside air." Taking a deep breath, I followed suit and gazed at the sky. "Yeah, it's been a while since I've looked at the sky like this." Suddenly, I felt something unusual; his hand resting on my shoulder was becoming lighter. 0

Instinctively, I turned to look at his left hand that was on my shoulder, and I froze. His hand was slowly peeling away like shattered glass, with the fragments turning to dust the moment they left his body. 0

I glanced at Yin Li; he seemed completely unaware, still gazing up at the sky. "Perhaps this is what he calls the price," I thought as I continued to accompany him in watching the sky. At that moment, the stars seemed to shine even brighter, as if welcoming Yin Li, who was about to ascend. 0

We remained silent, simply watching together. Just as I felt his body growing lighter, he turned to me and said, "Alright, I'm leaving now. I'm sorry for dragging you into this. I hope you can forgive my selfishness." I nodded at him, holding back tears in my eyes, choked up as I managed to say two words: "Safe travels." 0

As soon as he finished speaking, what remained of his body transformed into dust right before my eyes, scattering into the air with the wind. In an instant, tears streamed down my face. I stood there for what felt like an eternity until everything went completely dark. 0

The next day, with a heavy heart, I returned to the hotel in Zhenkang County, packed up my belongings, and immediately set off back to the city where I originally lived. The first thing I did upon returning was to arrange a funeral for Yin Li. Even though there was no body and no one came to mourn him, it felt like something I needed to do. 0

Once everything was settled, I began searching for information about Box. I scoured every library and museum in the city but found no clues. Days passed by, and my Hao Yin continued to grow larger. 0

I laid out everything related: two Boxes—one engraved with red Hao Yin belonging to Yin Li and one with black Hao Yin that was mine—along with two booklets and a key. Sitting on the sofa staring blankly at these items, I thought to myself, "I can't just sit here waiting for things to happen." Suddenly, I remembered that the Sheepskin Book I had opened earlier had a delaying effect on Hao Yin's growth. 0

With that thought in mind, I hurriedly opened my computer and searched for various supernatural stories and horror tales. "I'll just copy one of these for now," I muttered to myself as I grabbed the Sheepskin Book and picked up a pen to start copying. 0

Before long, I finished copying and was eagerly anticipating what would happen next when I was astonished to see that the text I'd just written was disappearing one by one while my Hao Yin showed no signs of change. 0

"Did I copy it wrong?" After carefully reviewing what I'd written again, it seemed correct. Pondering with the pen tip between my teeth in front of the computer screen, it didn't take long before all the words I'd written in the Sheepskin Book vanished without a trace. "Does it have to be a true story?" With that thought in mind, I searched for several more stories and copied them one by one. However, every time I finished writing a story, within ten seconds it would begin to disappear completely. 0

"It seems that's really how it is. If the stories I'm writing are fictional, then they can't seal away the spirits described within them because they don't exist in reality. So how can I encounter a real ghost? Opening Void Spirit would naturally allow me to see ghosts, but it seems it would cause me great harm; Lao Yang had warned me not to use it unless absolutely necessary. What should I do..." I murmured to myself as once again fell into deep thought. 0

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck me, and a phrase crossed my mind: "Supernatural Game." With this thought, I began searching online again. 0

Spirit Board, Spirit Writing, Four Corners Game, and many other terms appeared before my eyes. I noticed that many people were eager to try these experiences themselves. I thought to myself, "Since I need to personally experience real events, why not join them? Besides, many of these are multiplayer games." 0

With this in mind, I started reaching out to those who had posted about wanting to try these activities. After contacting several people without any responses, just as I was about to shut down my computer, someone named "The Boy in the Wheat Field" messaged me. He was interested in trying it out and asked when we could start. I replied, "Can two people play?" After a moment, he responded, "Spirit Writing." I replied, "Great! Please leave your contact information so I can reach you later. When are you usually free?" He replied, "I'm free these days; my phone number is 1574..." I quickly noted down his number and responded, "Okay, I'll call you then. Talk to you later." With that, I closed my computer. 0

As I was about to save the number on my phone, I suddenly remembered that my phone had been broken for a while and I hadn't used it recently, so it slipped my mind. "Looks like I'll have to buy a new phone tomorrow," I thought as I tossed the broken device aside. 0

It was getting late, and I was preparing to take a shower and go to bed. However, as soon as I took off my clothes, I was shocked to discover that a medium-sized black mark resembling Hao Yin had appeared on my chest without me noticing. 0
