Liu Yuan and Chen Yan had spent the entire evening entertaining Beibei, and finally managed to get the little one settled down. 0

By the time they returned home around ten o'clock, they helped the child take a bath and get to sleep, which took them close to eleven. The little one insisted on having her mother soothe her, so Liu Yuan had no choice but to rock her to sleep. 0

After putting Beibei to bed, Liu Yuan noticed that Chen Yan was sitting on the couch, engrossed in watching cartoons. 0

"You're an adult, yet you're still watching cartoons. How childish," Liu Yuan teased. 0

"It's not for me; it's for Beibei," Chen Yan replied. 0

"Then why are you still watching?" Liu Yuan asked, puzzled. 0

"I want to keep her company while she watches. That way we have something to talk about," Chen Yan said matter-of-factly. 0

"You really are quite immature," Liu Yuan remarked. 0

"Well, I enjoy it," Chen Yan said without a hint of embarrassment. 0

"Suit yourself," Liu Yuan said, uninterested, as she stood up to head back to her room. 0

"Aren't you going to sleep?" Chen Yan called after her. 0

"I'm going back to my room to sleep," Liu Yuan glanced back at him. 0

"Don't you want to chat with me for a bit?" Chen Yan asked. 0

"Aren't you going home tonight?" Liu Yuan frowned at him. 0

Chen Yan chuckled as he got up. "Now that we're back together, can't I stay over?" 0

"We're just dating; marriage isn't on the table yet," Liu Yuan replied. 0

"You really know how to kill the mood," Chen Yan said, looking at her with dissatisfaction. 0

"I'm just speaking the truth," Liu Yuan shrugged. 0

"Are you not planning to marry me?" Chen Yan stared at her intently. 0

"I haven't thought about it," Liu Yuan answered honestly. 0

Suddenly, Chen Yan pulled her into an embrace and kissed her directly on the lips. 0

"Mmm..." Liu Yuan's eyes widened in surprise. 0

Chen Yan kissed her gently yet possessively, lifting her shirt slightly. 0

Liu Yuan felt his hands caressing her waist and quickly pressed down on his hand. 0

"Stop it." 0

Chen Yan held onto her hand and continued kissing her. 0

Liu Yuan was left dizzy from his kiss, unable to push him away. 0

After a moment, Chen Yan released her, holding her hand and placing it on his abs. "Feel free to touch as much as you want." 0

Liu Yuan's face turned bright red. "Are you crazy?" 0

"Should we do this here or in your room?" Chen Yan asked with a mischievous smile. 0

Liu Yuan pushed him away. "Stay away from me." 0

Chen Yan wrapped his arms around her waist. "You still haven't answered my question." 0

"What question?" Liu Yuan feigned ignorance. 0

"When are we getting married?" Chen Yan asked. 0

"We haven't considered marriage," Liu Yuan replied. 0

"So that means we’ll continue dating," Chen Yan said. 0

Liu Yuan bit her lip, remaining silent. 0

"Not answering means you agree," Chen Yan kissed her lips lightly. "So can we go to your room now?" 0

Liu Yuan's cheeks flushed. "You..." 0

"Let's go." Chen Yan picked her up effortlessly and headed toward her room. 0

Worried about waking Beibei, Liu Yuan dared not speak loudly and allowed Chen Yan to do as he pleased. 0

Later on, when Chen Yan was busy late into the night, he wouldn’t come over to disturb them, but his visits were still frequent. 0

Beibei noticed that her dad was also staying over at their place at night. 0

"Mom, why is Dad here at night too?" Beibei asked curiously. 0

"Uh..." Liu Yuan was momentarily at a loss for words. 0

"Because Dad wants to spend time with Beibei," Chen Yan said as he walked over from behind her. "Dad will be living here from now on, so he can watch TV with you, tell stories, and play games." 0

"That's great!" Beibei exclaimed excitedly before asking, "So will you get married?" 0

"Your mom doesn't want to get married right now," Chen Yan glanced at Liu Yuan. 0

Liu Yuan remained silent. 0

"When will you get married then?" Beibei pressed on. 0

"As long as she wants to get married, I'll marry her," Chen Yan said, looking at Liu Yuan. "Right?" 0

"Then if you don't get married, does that mean you can't be together?" Beibei asked, tilting her head. 0

"Not necessarily," Chen Yan shook his head. "We could still make it work for a lifetime." 0

Liu Yuan remained silent. 0

"Mom, do you want to get married?" Beibei looked at Liu Yuan and asked. 0

Liu Yuan was momentarily at a loss for words. 0

"Mom, don't you want to marry Dad?" Beibei pressed on. 0

"I..." Liu Yuan hesitated. 0

"Don't you want to marry me?" Chen Yan narrowed his eyes. 0

"Not exactly," Liu Yuan mumbled. 0

"So that means you want to marry me?" Chen Yan raised an eyebrow. 0

"I'm still considering it," Liu Yuan replied. 0

"How much longer do you need to think?" Chen Yan pressed further. 0

"I..." Liu Yuan was caught off guard by the question. 0

"Mom, just marry Dad," Beibei urged, pulling her hand. "Then we can be a real family of three." 0

"I..." Liu Yuan softened under Beibei's pleading gaze. "I'll think about it some more." 0

"Okay," Beibei said, a bit disappointed. 0

Chen Yan patted her head. "Mom will figure it out." 0

"Mm-hmm," Beibei nodded. 0

... 0

That night, after Chen Yan finished his shower and stepped out of the bathroom, he didn't go to bed right away but headed to Beibei's room instead. 0

Beibei was already asleep. He gently closed the door and turned toward the kitchen. 0

Liu Yuan was in the kitchen drinking water when she saw him enter. "Why aren't you asleep yet?" she asked. 0

"I came to see you," Chen Yan said as he walked over and hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. 0

"What’s so interesting about me?" Liu Yuan took a sip of water. 0

"You look good," Chen Yan smiled. 0

"You’re such a smooth talker," Liu Yuan shot him a playful glare. 0

"I’m speaking the truth." Chen Yan kissed her cheek. "Wife, you’re truly beautiful." 0

Liu Yuan felt her face flush at his words and avoided his gaze. "Don’t call me that." 0

"Why not?" Chen Yan frowned in confusion. "We’re going to get married sooner or later." 0

"I haven’t agreed to marry you yet," Liu Yuan reminded him. 0

"When will you agree?" Chen Yan pressed. 0

"I..." Liu Yuan hesitated again. 0

"Wife," Chen Yan whined playfully. 0

Liu Yuan felt her heart flutter at his words. She took a sip of water. "Just give me a little more time." 0

"What else do you need to think about?" Chen Yan asked, a bit anxious. 0

"I..." Liu Yuan hesitated once more. 0

"Wife," Chen Yan wrapped his arms around her. "Let’s get married." 0

"I..." Liu Yuan hesitated again. 0

"What are you still worried about?" Chen Yan inquired. 0

"I'm not worried; I just..." Liu Yuan lowered her gaze. "I haven’t figured it out yet." 0

"What do you need to figure out?" Chen Yan pressed. 0

"I..." Liu Yuan struggled to find the words. 0

"Wife." Chen Yan kissed her ear gently. "Let’s get married." 0

Liu Yuan felt a shiver run through her at his kiss, her cheeks turning crimson. "I..." 0

"Let’s get married," Chen Yan urged again. 0

Liu Yuan felt overwhelmed by his persistence and finally nodded. "Okay." 0

"Really?" Chen Yan exclaimed, his eyes lighting up with joy. 0

Liu Yuan's cheeks were still flushed. "Mm." 0

"That's wonderful." Chen Yan embraced her tightly, excitedly kissing her. 0

Liu Yuan gasped for breath from his kisses and pushed him away. "Don’t do that." 0

"I'm just so happy." Chen Yan held her shoulders firmly. "Wife, I love you." 0
