No one answered still. 0
It wasn't until I reached the door that I noticed a line of footprints on the ground. 0
The footprints led into the kitchen. 0
My heart hung in suspense. 0
Could it be that my brother had really come back? 0
I followed the footprints into the kitchen, and in the pitch darkness, I turned on my phone's flashlight, fumbling for the switch. 0
With a soft click, the dim light illuminated the kitchen. 0
My hand trembled as I held the phone, the flashlight sweeping around the room. 0
Finally, it settled in the corner on the left. 0
There, in the pig trough, I heard faint "squeaking" sounds. 0
It seemed something was chewing. 0
I cautiously approached, my heart racing. 0
When I reached the side of the pig trough, my blood ran cold. 0
A figure dressed in a black funeral suit was hunched over, feasting on the pig. 0
It was my brother! 0
Though his face was grotesquely distorted, I recognized him at once! 0
"Brother..." 0
I called out, trembling. 0
He turned to me, a gust of cold air escaping his nostrils, mingled with a strong scent of blood. 0
In the dim light, I could see his face clearly. 0
He was drenched, water dripping continuously from his hair. 0
He chewed on fresh red flesh, making wet "smacking" sounds. 0

My legs gave way, and I collapsed to the ground. 0
My brother crawled toward me slowly, lying on the floor. 0
He opened his mouth and let out a hoarse growl, reaching for my neck with his hand. 0
I pushed against the ground, trying to move backward. 0
But soon, my back hit the wall. 0
I could no longer retreat. 0
His hand tightened around my neck with such force that I was utterly powerless to resist. 0
I reached out to pry his fingers away, but suddenly realized that my hand passed right through his body. 0
I looked at him in terror. 0
He returned my gaze with a strange smile. 0
Was I really going to die here today? 0
I refused to accept it! 0
There were so many things I hadn't done yet! 0
I still hadn't figured out how my brother had died! 0
I couldn't die! 0
With all my strength, I struggled, kicking and hitting him with my hands and feet. 0
But it was completely ineffective. 0
His other hand gripped my shoulder, sharp nails digging into my flesh. 0
I felt a sharp pain, and all my strength drained away. 0
A bizarre smile crept across my brother's lips as he opened his gaping mouth, ready to bite into my neck. 0
"Don't!" 0
I let out a heart-wrenching scream. 0
Suddenly, a wave of heat surged from my chest. 0

My brother let out a terrible scream and released his grip. At the same time, a loud crash echoed through the air. The bench of the coffin broke apart. The coffin fell to the ground, and a chilling wind swept in through the shattered window, leaving the mourning hall in disarray. Amidst the collapsed wooden planks, a dull thudding sound emerged. 0

"Thud... Thud... Thud..." 0

It was as if someone was knocking on the coffin lid from inside. I held my breath, my gaze fixed on the pile of wood. In the next moment, the coffin lid was flipped open. My brother's corpse crawled out from within. He sniffed the air, his eyes slowly locking onto mine. Then, with a roar, he lunged toward me. 0

Just as my brother was about to pounce on me, Grandpa arrived just in time. He swung his whip down at my brother with all his might. The whip was made of copper coins strung together with red thread, its entire length a vivid red, reeking of the metallic scent of copper coins. 0
