Shen Binghan did not know Ye Chenfeng. He was a little monk who practiced in the mountains, under the guidance of a master who lived in seclusion, yet could not resist the temptation of visiting nearby nunneries, even managing to get one of the nuns pregnant. 0

His master had sent him down the mountain to learn about the ways of the world and to search for a legendary manual that had been lost among the common folk. He was also warned that the women down below were like tigers; he should not shy away from them. Taming a tiger would not only enhance his life experience but also broaden his horizons. 0

The Ancient River Town's Men'er Gou station was where Ye Chenfeng boarded the bus. 0

As the bus passed one stop after another, Shen Binghan encountered no tigers at all; instead, he saw only some exceedingly ordinary and unremarkable women. After descending from the mountain and traveling an unknown distance, crossing countless ditches, he finally managed to catch this bus and felt he deserved a good rest. 0

Thus, the little monk Shen Binghan sat in the last row, holding a string of prayer beads, with his eyes closed in a light doze. 0

Ye Chenfeng boarded the bus with Su Bei while Shen Binghan continued to rest with his eyes shut. His feet were blistered, and he felt too dirty to move; there were plenty of fleas at the temple on the mountain. They had jumped off those thieving monkeys and stayed behind in the temple. His master had taught him that those who follow Buddhism or Taoism should not kill living beings; ants on the road, fleas on their bodies, and mosquitoes were all forms of life. 0

So aside from his face, which was free of fleas, wherever Shen Binghan had clothing covering his body, there were traces left by fleas. 0

With a clang, the bus door opened, and Shen Binghan opened his eyes to see Ye Chenfeng— 0

In Shen Binghan's eyes, this person seemed problematic; an aura of misfortune surrounded him, with loose eyebrows and something even more terrifying—a vengeful spirit lingered beside him. 0

Ye Chenfeng felt someone watching him. Turning his head at an awkward angle, he caught sight of the little monk. 0

At such a young age, with a bald head in front and a small braid tied behind while wearing an oversized gray monk robe, he looked utterly ridiculous. Not only did Ye Chenfeng find it amusing, but even the adults on the bus were quietly pointing at the little monk. 0

Shen Binghan stood up and walked toward Ye Chenfeng. Seeing this, Su Bei squeezed forward. 0

"Su Bei, what are you doing?" 0

Ye Chenfeng called out to Su Bei, but people in the bus exchanged glances with each other, unsure who he was referring to as Su Bei. 0

The bus jolted along its route as Su Bei disappeared from view. 0

Unable to find Su Bei, Ye Chenfeng turned back to see the little monk. 0

"Amitabha! Benefactor, you carry misfortune with you—killing intent and vengeful spirits cling to you." 0

Ye Chenfeng found it quite amusing that a little monk even younger than himself would boldly claim such things about him. He teased back, "Are you trying to swindle me? Just call me grandpa once, and I’ll buy you a meat bun later." 0

"Benefactor, I can have a meat bun. Little Monk has completed his training, and my master has allowed me to descend the mountain, granting me my freedom. Master Elder says that as long as there is Buddha in the heart, there is Buddha everywhere." 0

"What are you talking about? I don't understand. Don't disturb me while I'm looking for my friend." Ye Chenfeng shot him an annoyed glance and continued searching for Su Bei. 0

"Hey! Benefactor, you are in grave danger yet still stubborn. He is not your friend; he is a Vengeful Spirit, and the Vengeful Spirit arose because of you, so he follows you." Shen Binghan glanced at the talisman hanging around Ye Chenfeng's neck and shook his head with a sigh. 0

"What nonsense! You are Little Monk, and my grandmother is a layperson!" Ye Chenfeng raised his voice to attract attention, wanting everyone to see this shameless Little Monk boldly deceiving people on the bus. 0

"What kind of tiger is your grandmother?" Shen Binghan said seriously without a smile. His words made everyone in the bus burst into laughter, as they guessed this kid was a movie fan but had no idea which character he was imitating when he claimed someone's grandmother was a tiger. 0

Seeing everyone laughing, Shen Binghan sighed and said, "It's not that revenge isn't coming; it's just not the right time." Then he returned to his previous seat, unwilling to open his eyes and look at the people in the bus anymore. 0

Shen Binghan found the people in the bus too vulgar to bother looking at. 0

Ye Chenfeng felt frustrated; Su Bei had squeezed away without showing up again. 0

Where would he go if the bus hadn't reached its destination? Perhaps he was just hiding somewhere! 0

At that moment, a chill ran through his legs as a hand rested on his knee. Looking down, it was Su Bei. 0

"I'm here." 0

Ye Chenfeng thought it clever of Su Bei to hide under his seat without anyone noticing, making it impossible for the Ticket Seller to see him. 0

The bus stopped intermittently until it finally reached the county town. 0

As Ye Chenfeng got off, Su Bei followed him out. 0

Having run out from Grandma's House, his stomach was already growling. Not far from the bus station was a Snack Shop, and the delicious aromas wafting out made his mouth water. However, if he went to the Snack Shop, he wouldn't have money left to return to the city. 0

His money was just enough for the fare back. 0

Crossing the street, Ye Chenfeng's eyes lit up when he spotted a red bill lying on the ground nearby—no one had picked it up! It was a hundred-dollar bill. Were these people blind? He thought to himself as he left Su Bei behind and dashed toward the bill. 0

Just as he reached down to pick up the cash, a loud shout and a powerful force pushed him away from the edge of the bill. At the same time, a car sped past the spot where he had just been. 0

That was close! Ye Chenfeng broke out in a cold sweat. When he turned to see who had pushed him, his anger flared upon realizing it was that meddlesome Little Monk. 0

If it had been someone else, Ye Chenfeng would have been grateful, but since it was the Little Monk who cursed his grandmother, he frowned and didn’t thank him, rolling up his sleeve to reveal a bleeding scrape on his arm. 0

"Look at the good deed you've done, you little bald donkey." 0

Shen Binghan had just seen Ye Chenfeng running into the middle of the road with a car speeding toward him. This was a classic case of being blinded by a ghost; the driver couldn’t see Ye Chenfeng, and Ye Chenfeng couldn’t see the car. He didn’t have time to shout, so he dropped his bag and leaped toward Ye Chenfeng, grabbing him just in time to roll out of the way of the vehicle, resulting in his arm getting scraped. 0

"Amitabha, you were just blinded by a ghost. If you had been a moment later, it wouldn’t have just been an injured arm." 0

Ye Chenfeng knew that Little Monk wasn’t trying to scare him; he had witnessed the car zoom past. Even so, he stubbornly replied, "So what?" 0

"Amitabha." Shen Binghan found him unreasonable and decided it was pointless to say more. He turned back to retrieve his bag, unaware that in his rush to protect Ye Chenfeng, he had left it behind and it had already been picked up by someone passing by. 0

Oh no! Shen Binghan thought as he broke into a sweat. Inside that bag were letters of introduction hastily written by his master and various important documents. If he lost that bag, he would effectively be living as an illegal resident without even a temporary residence permit. 0

Seeing Shen Binghan panicking and sweating profusely made Ye Chenfeng secretly chuckle. Wanting to tease him a bit, he initiated a conversation: "Losing your bag isn’t such a big deal. I know quite a few people around here. My dad's friend owns a Four-Star Hotel nearby, and I have other friends doing business here..." He boasted without needing any notes, leaving the naive Shen Binghan stunned. 0

Ye Chenfeng swaggered ahead while Little Monk Shen Binghan followed closely beside him, taking in the sights around them with wide eyes. 0
