If you see someone burning paper at a crossroads, you'd better stay away from him, because disturbing others to "collect money" will be punished. This horrible thing is my personal experience. I remember it was last year's Zhongyuan Festival. Because the factory's performance was not good, I resigned and returned to my hometown. It's strange to say that Zhongyuan Festival is a Ghost Festival, and there shouldn't be traffic jams, but that day there was an abnormal traffic jam. When I arrived at the town, it was already late at night. When I was about to reach the entrance of the village, I found a person squatting on the ground at the crossroads, as if picking up something. Because it was a rural area, the intersection was still relatively narrow, but the person didn't seem to be afraid at all, just looked back at me, so I quickly slowed down and honked the horn, fearing that something would happen in the middle of the night. At that moment, the person who had just squatted on the ground suddenly disappeared. I saw a pile of burnt paper ash where the person had just squatted, and there was a simple small pile next to it that was usually built for burning paper. I was a little scared at the time. After all, today is GhostFestival, and it was still a little scary at night. Because of fear, I stepped on the accelerator and drove away. The wind caused by the speed of the car blew the pile of paper ash everywhere. Suddenly, I vaguely heard someone talking behind me. Through the rearview mirror, I found that the figure who had just disappeared was standing behind me with an angry face. This scene scared me so much that my diaper was almost wet. I didn't care about anything else and stepped on the accelerator again and rushed home. After arriving home, I had a simple meal and chatted with my parents. It was already midnight. I didn't take the scene at the intersection just now to heart. After driving all day, I simply cleaned up the bedroom and lay down to play with my mobile phone. Maybe I was excited to just get home, and I was not sleepy after watching Douyin for half a day. I was just about to start "speaking sweet words" when I saw the Japanese who were living a good life discharging nuclear wastewater, but suddenly my phone prompted that the battery was low. I then remembered that the charger was still in the car. This is also the habit of us young people today. Without a mobile phone, we feel like we have lost our soul and feel uncomfortable all over. 0

The countryside is not like the city. The entrance is spacious. I parked my car on the roadside at the entrance. It was late at night and the village was very quiet. I pressed the key and the lights started flashing. But suddenly I found a figure standing behind the flashing lights. I was startled and thought it was a thief, so I ran towards the car. But strangely, when I circled the car, I found nothing. Thinking of the scene at the intersection on the way home, I was a little scared, but I still had to take the charger. I opened the door and started looking for the charger, but the moment I got into the car, I felt unusually cold and a feeling of being watched. I subconsciously turned my head to look at the back seat, but unexpectedly there was actually a person sitting in the back seat. The person looked a little familiar, as if he was the one I met at the intersection. At that time, the man had a gloomy face and looked at me angrily, muttering to himself, "You spilled my money, don't even think about running away." The horrifying scene scared me so much that I almost lost my soul. In panic, I accidentally honked the car horn. My parents were already resting at that time. They probably ran out after hearing my screams and the honking of the horn. At that time, I was so scared that I collapsed in the car. Looking at my parents, I wanted to speak, but I couldn't make a sound. After a long time, I reluctantly told my parents about the strange experience I encountered at the intersection and the fact that I spilled the ashes of other people's burning paper, and then I fainted. Later, my father told me that the Zhongyuan Festival only comes once a year, and on that day, the gates of hell are wide open, and those who have passed away will come out on this day to enjoy the offerings burned for them by their families. And if you spilled other people's offerings and paper money, can they be willing? So early that morning, my parents went to buy incense, candles, and paper money, and took me to that intersection. 0

After arriving at the place, my parents took me to kneel down, burning paper and apologizing to the man. After burning the paper, they led me to kowtow respectfully, and then we got up and left. After walking a long way, I looked back curiously. I don’t know if it was an illusion, but I seemed to see the man squatting on the ground picking up something. The man seemed to feel my gaze, and he turned his head to look at me, but there was no resentful expression on his face. From then on, I began to believe these things. It’s not that I advocate feudal superstition, but many things are really hard to explain. I believe that the taboos passed down by the older generation still make sense. 0
