At the end of August 2014, Xiao Yu returned home from work only to find that his wife, Xiaoxue, had mysteriously disappeared.
No matter how many times he called her, he could not reach Xiaoxue, which drove Xiao Yu into a panic. Had she run off with someone else?
Based on Xiao Yu's description, it wasn't unreasonable to think that his wife might have left with someone else. Recently, she had suddenly taken an interest in online chatting.
When he logged into Xiaoxue's chat account, he discovered a man named Li Dapao who had repeatedly invited Xiaoxue to elope. This infuriated Xiao Yu; he was convinced that this Li Dapao was the one who had taken his wife.
In a fit of rage, he devised a revenge plan. Xiao Yu decided to use the same tactics against the con artist.
"He took my wife away; he deceived me, so I must deceive him. After all, my deception is for his own good. He has harmed me too much. I told him I was deceiving him to help him turn over a new leaf and stop doing such things."
So, Xiao Yu registered a new account and cleverly chose the nickname Yanzi based on his experience. He then proactively added Li Dapao as a friend. He claimed to be a friend of Xiaoxue's and during their chats, Xiao Yu deliberately revealed details about his unfortunate life while expressing a desire to befriend Li Dapao.
As they chatted more over time, their conversations became increasingly flirtatious, and they even began calling each other husband and wife. Can you believe that?
"Honey, I really want to hold you while I sleep!"

In reality, she was pretending to chat with him online.
Indeed, no one understands men better than other men.
When Li Dapao wanted to take things further and suggested a video call with Yanzi, Xiao Yu started to panic. After thinking it over, he claimed he was using an old phone that couldn't support video calls.
He then searched online for a beautiful woman's photo and sent it to Li Dapao.
"I just downloaded a picture from my computer; it's a side shot, and the person looks quite pretty."

To avoid exposing Xiao Yu, his aunt had to stay at their home while Xiao Yu lived with his mother. Although they didn't reveal Xiao Xue's location, Li Dapao mentioned that he would personally come to pick up Yanzi next month, and then they would know where she was taken.
Upon hearing this, Xiao Yu felt very strange. If it were an online romance, why would he want to pick up another girl after taking one? This clearly seemed abnormal. Xiao Yu began to suspect that his wife might have been kidnapped.
"It’s always him wanting to come pick me up. I think someone like him is involved in trafficking; otherwise, he wouldn't be trying to pick up a second one." Thus, Xiao Yu decided to turn the tables on him.

After some back and forth, Li Dapao finally agreed to come pick up Yanzi in two days. Xiao Yu immediately called a few good friends, planning to catch them off guard. However, Li Dapao was very cunning and unexpectedly contacted him that night, saying he would wait for Yanzi at the village entrance the next morning.
At this point, Xiao Yu panicked. He didn't know how many people would come or if they would be armed. To avoid any danger, he had his aunt call and stall them while he went to the police station to report the situation.
The police were quite surprised by Xiao Yu's description because there had been numerous mysterious disappearances of women over the past year. They were already investigating a trafficking organization and couldn't believe that Xiao Yu had managed to lure this scammer back home on his own.
"They thought if we could bring this scammer in, we might still be skeptical. If we were to catch him based on what he said, we would have to think creatively. After all, it’s quite unbelievable that a victim's family member could capture this suspect using their own methods."
At first, the police were somewhat doubtful, but since someone had reported a case, they had to investigate. When Li Dapao and his accomplice arrived at the agreed location to pick up Yanzi, they were met instead by the police.
Seeing the police arrive, the two scammers were stunned and shouted repeatedly, "Why are you arresting us?"
"After we were caught, we kept asking why we were being arrested," one of them said.
"We just made up stories; I came here to meet an online friend," they feigned innocence.
They were then taken to the police station for questioning.
During the interrogation, Li Dapao claimed he was only there to meet an online friend and insisted that he and Yanzi were in love and not involved in trafficking.
His accomplice Liang Dagen corroborated this story, saying it was Yanzi who wanted to leave with Li Dapao and that he insisted on following them despite attempts to stop him.
These two really knew how to act.
When the police brought in Yanzi, whom Li Dapao had been thinking about constantly, he found himself lost in thought upon seeing a man even more rugged than himself standing before him.
At that moment, he was spewing a torrent of curses. Realizing that the situation had been exposed, Li Dapao had no choice but to confess to his crime of trafficking Xiao Xue for massage work.
With the information they provided, the police successfully rescued Xiao Xue and other victimized women from a massage parlor on the streets of Fujian.
With Xiao Yu's assistance, the police managed to dismantle this trafficking organization.
However, what shocked everyone at the police station was what Xiao Xue said when she saw her husband.
Xiao Xue claimed that she had willingly left with Li Dapao and that becoming a massage worker was also her choice.
Even more astonishing was the revelation that although she and Xiao Yu had three children together, they were not actually a legally married couple.
“He is my cousin, right? His mother is my aunt,” she stated.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Xiao Xue had dropped out of school early and, under her aunt's arrangement, had come to live with her cousin Xiao Yu, who was ten years older than her.
When mentioning her cousin-husband, Xiao Xue expressed her grievances. He often drank too much and caused problems; more importantly, he was completely unromantic and did not value her.
“I’ve never heard him say he likes me, nor have I ever heard anything particularly touching from him. He didn’t even wish me a happy birthday,” she lamented.
In response, Xiao Yu denied this, claiming he rarely got drunk—only once or twice a week—and even wrote a humorous poem on the wall of their home to justify himself.
Over time, Xiao Xue grew increasingly disappointed in him.
It was during this period that the warm-hearted Li Dapao suddenly appeared. Although they were merely acquaintances, they were of similar age and got along very well.
More importantly, Li Dapao didn't smoke or drink and spoke very sweetly.
"He added me randomly, thinking we were about the same age and could chat easily. Plus, his profile picture was really nice, so I accepted his request," she explained.
It didn't take long for the two to fall in love.
Soon after, Xiaoxue ran away with Li Dapao, leaving Xiao Yu behind.
Even now, Xiaoxue still believes that Li Dapao tricked her for her own good.
"Because he doesn't smoke and hardly drinks, I had a good impression of him."
Although Li Dapao initially said he would take her to Fujian for a couple of days, he actually took her to a massage parlor with his uncle, Liang Dagen.
At first, Xiaoxue was reluctant to work in massage, but after some persuasion from the uncle and nephew, she accepted it willingly.
"I decided to go with this man because I had an argument with my mother-in-law and my husband. I called my mom, and she told me to do whatever I wanted. She said once I made my choice, not to regret it since I had already undergone sterilization."
Upon hearing this, Xiao Yu felt as if the green grass above him was about to "spring back to life."
Li Dapao never expected that Xiao Yu, this "old six," would impersonate a Beautiful Young Woman to lure them out, ultimately leading to their arrest by the police.
