Rao Jie thought for a moment and picked up a corner of the blanket to cover Wu Rong's eyes. Just as Wu Rong was about to ask, he felt a soft sensation at the corner of his mouth. The sweet fragrance was so familiar that it made his heart tighten, and a nervous voice whispered in his ear, "It won't be long, I promise."
Wu Rong found himself completely tamed by a kiss, unable to resist Rao Jie's playful charm. He just wanted to go along with her, like a proud lion suddenly turned into an ordinary house cat, losing all its fierceness.
Seeing that he had calmed down, Rao Jie quietly slid off him and took a step back toward the door, saying as she walked, "So, are you willing to wait a little longer?"
Enchanted by her proactive kiss, Wu Rong felt as if he had been drugged. Filled with excitement, he replied, "I’m willing. I won’t touch you tonight, but you have to—"
Before he could finish his sentence, he heard the sound of the door closing.
Wu Rong immediately jumped up and realized that Rao Jie was no longer in the room. Furious, he rushed to chase after her, but when he opened the door, he heard the distant sound of the elevator and knew he couldn't catch up.
Frustrated, Wu Rong slammed his fist against the wall, feeling like he had been outsmarted by a beautiful woman. However, when he dejectedly returned to his seat, he received a message from Rao Jie on his phone: "What I just said was true."
The next morning, there was a group visit planned to the glass exhibition hall near Cloud Mountain Hot Springs. Inside were all kinds of glass crafts that sparkled with colorful light in the sunlight—very romantic and popular for wedding photos. It had become a favored spot for couples, and visiting required reservations due to limited capacity.
Aside from the Fate Stone platform they visited yesterday, this was the most popular destination for couples. Ye Ming had made all the reservations in advance.
When it was time to gather, everyone could go together. Rao Jie had just stepped out with her Senior Sister when she encountered other girls coming out as well. A few of them were casting strange glances at Rao Jie, making her wonder if something was wrong with her face. After all, she hadn’t slept well last night due to overthinking and looked quite pale.
The Senior Sister noticed too and bluntly asked, "What's going on? Does Rao Jie have something on her face?"
The others pretended nothing was wrong while they waited for the elevator. Unfortunately, Chang Fei and her group also arrived at that moment.
When Chang Fei and Rao Jie met, the atmosphere was naturally awkward, prompting Rao Jie to lower her head and play with her phone. However, a few of Chang Fei's friends were not about to let Rao Jie off the hook.
"Hey, Rao Jie, why are you taking the elevator on this floor?" one of them teased.
Rao Jie was taken aback, looking up at the person in confusion. Another friend chimed in, "What do you expect her to do, climb down the stairs?"
The first girl chuckled and said, "No, that's not what I meant. I was talking about which floor she stayed on last night; of course, she came down from that floor."
Rao Jie's expression changed instantly as realization dawned on her. She looked at Chang Fei in disbelief, but Chang Fei pretended not to see or hear anything.
The friend continued, puzzled, "What are you talking about? She was with me on this floor last night. Hey, why are you being so sarcastic early in the morning?"
The girl scoffed, "Maybe she just got back early this morning and hasn't woken up yet."
Rao Jie's face had turned a deep shade of discomfort. It seemed that the senior sister began to grasp what was being implied. Although she didn't fully understand the situation, she felt compelled to defend Rao Jie.
