All that could be heard was the Drunkard wailing like a pig, clutching his nearly crippled hand in pain, while Leng Fengyang pulled A Yan into his embrace. 0

A Yan was startled by this sudden turn of events, but as she felt Leng Fengyang's solid chest and warm breath, her fear gradually subsided. She looked up at Leng Fengyang, whose deep-set eyes revealed an undeniable determination and protective instinct, making her feel completely at ease. 0

She savored this moment, relishing the feeling of being held by Leng Fengyang. It was the first time they had locked eyes so closely; her pure beauty shone even more brilliantly under the dim yet vibrant neon lights of the bar. 0

A Yan's eyes were as clear as a spring, reflecting the colorful lights around her without diminishing their purity. Her skin was like fine jade, and in the interplay of light and shadow, she seemed to radiate a soft glow, contrasting sharply with the surrounding chaos and adding an ethereal quality to her presence. 0

Though the bar's neon lights were dazzling, they merely served as a backdrop to her beauty, allowing her pure charm to quietly blossom in the night, captivating all who beheld her. 0

Beautiful! Truly beautiful! So beautiful that one would want to take a bite out of her. This was Leng Fengyang's slightly wicked inner monologue at that moment. 0

The crowd around the bar was drawn to the sudden conflict, casting curious or fearful glances. Meanwhile, the Drunkard, gritting his teeth in pain and filled with resentment, dared not act recklessly again. He knew he had encountered someone formidable and could only glare fiercely at Leng Fengyang, cursing and urging his terrified companions: "Get him!" 0

Five or six drunken men, emboldened by their numbers, attempted to overwhelm him. However, Leng Fengyang was extraordinary; in an instant, the Drunkards were knocked down one after another, leaving the scene momentarily silent. 0

Instead of showing off further, Leng Fengyang took A Yan's hand and prepared to leave the bar quickly. But just then, someone locked the door behind them—it was none other than the bar owner. 0

The owner approached slowly, his eyes flickering with complex emotions—admiration for Leng Fengyang's skills mingled with concern over this unexpected situation. "Brother, your skills are impressive," he said, "but it seems there's still an account to settle." 0

Pointing at the shattered items in the bar with a serious expression, it was clear he had no intention of letting Leng Fengyang leave easily. 0

At that moment, a notification echoed in Leng Fengyang's ear: "System Notification Detected Abnormal Human Transformation." 0

Suddenly, a low and muffled sound emanated from a corner of the bar, like an ancient beast awakening from a long slumber in a forgotten tomb, breaking the already tense atmosphere. The sound grew clearer, accompanied by faint cracking noises as if something within was undergoing a horrific reorganization. 0

Everyone turned towards the sound to see a customer who had previously been on the ground now struggling to sit up in an unbelievable manner. His face was pale and gray, his eyes hollow and lifeless. A strange smile curled at his lips as dark viscous fluid oozed from his mouth instead of fresh blood, emitting a nauseating stench. 0

His movements were stiff and twisted, fingers bent at unnatural angles, as if every bone had been rearranged. As he slowly stood up, the air around him seemed to solidify, a strong aura of death spreading outwards, sending a chilling wave through everyone present. 0

"No, it can't be. The bar was supposed to be safe," someone whispered, their voice tinged with unmistakable fear. 0

Leng Fengyang quickly scanned the surroundings, one hand gripping A Yan's tightly while the other clutched the loose rebar. A Yan's hand trembled slightly in Leng Fengyang's palm, but she fought to keep her gaze steady, as if that alone could dispel the ominous atmosphere around them. She spoke softly to Leng Fengyang, "We need to find an exit and get out of here. This place isn't safe anymore." 0

Leng Fengyang nodded, his eyes sharp as he surveyed the area. The bar's lights flickered erratically, casting distorted shadows that added to the eerie ambiance. 0

"Stay close to me," A Yan said, understanding his unspoken command as she positioned herself behind him. Leng Fengyang tightened his grip on the rebar; its rough and practical form had become their only weapon and support. 0

Suddenly, a decaying corpse lunged at the drunkards hiding behind the bar. Their terrified screams shattered the oppressive silence of the bar. They scrambled in panic, some trying to climb over the bar while others frantically shoved each other in search of a hiding spot. 0

Seeing this, Leng Fengyang swung the rebar with precision, striking the corpse in its side with a dull thud. However, the creature's strength was beyond expectation; it merely staggered before roaring and lunging again. 0

A Yan quickly moved to assist. She agilely circled behind the corpse and with all her might swung a chair at its head, temporarily slowing its assault. But the corpse was relentless, attacking and biting with a ferocity that left many drunkards mercilessly torn apart. 0

Chaos reached its peak in the bar; lights flickered more frequently as if even the air trembled. Amidst the rampaging corpse, screams of agony, crashing sounds, and panicked breaths intertwined into a chaotic symphony. Tables were overturned, glass shattered in sharp bursts; what was once a lively venue had turned into a hellish nightmare. 0

At this moment, perhaps no one regretted their decisions more than the bar owner, whose heart must have been in turmoil over locking the doors so tightly. The bar, which should have been filled with laughter and joy, had unexpectedly transformed into a life-or-death escape room. 0

There were no games here—only an endless threat to life itself. Every second tested the trapped individuals' intelligence and courage along with their desire to survive. 0

As more infected drunkards emerged, Leng Fengyang realized that if they didn't find a way out soon, they might not make it out alive. Just as he searched for any possible escape route, the bar owner approached him with a terrified expression, his voice sharp with anxiety. "Brother, I apologize for earlier. I see you can fight; if you can get me out of here, I have money—I can give you anything." 0

Leng Fengyang calmly looked back at the bar owner and replied, "Boss, do you really think having cash is useful?" 0

Upon hearing this, the bar owner agreed with Leng Fengyang's viewpoint. In times of peace, money could indeed make things happen. 0

But in this apocalyptic world, money was no different from worthless paper. He continued, "I have something more useful than money. I'll show you right now, but you have to promise me that you'll take me away from this damned place." 0

"What is it?" 0

"A gun!" 0

At the mention of that word, Leng Fengyang's heart tightened. He knew well that firearms were a taboo in the Wuyan society. 0

Yet he also understood that the rules of survival had been redefined in this new world; they were essential for warding off danger and ensuring one's safety. 0

Leng Fengyang touched the rebar on his shoulder, no longer hesitating. He urged, "Then what are we waiting for? Lead the way." 0
