Chang Fei watched the entire scene unfold from behind and felt a sense of satisfaction. She had been slapped in the face by Wu Rong again and had been ruthlessly rejected by him. She clearly understood that there was no hope left for her and didn’t want to embarrass herself any further; she also cared about her pride.
If Wu Rong couldn’t recognize her worth, that was his own foolishness—not because she wasn’t good enough.
Though she felt sad, what she felt more was resentment. So when these two quarreled, she felt immense joy and secretly hoped they would never reconcile; a flicker of hope ignited within her heart.
But in the next moment, that flicker of hope was completely extinguished.
As Ye Ming was about to sit down, Wu Rong suddenly stood up.
Wu Rong's movements were so exaggerated that everyone around turned to look. Ye Ming was startled as well. Rao Jie naturally noticed it, but she didn't turn her head to look; instead, she pretended to calmly gaze out the window. Wu Rong maintained a serious expression as he walked down directly to the side of Senior Sister, staring intently at Rao Jie inside. Rao Jie slightly turned her head, making her attempt to avoid him even more obvious. Senior Sister found herself caught awkwardly between the two. Suddenly, Wu Rong addressed Senior Sister, saying, "Excuse me, could you please move aside?"
