Once, this place was a desolate Graveyard, but a money-hungry developer saw it as a prime location and decided to build an amusement park here. In their madness, they ruthlessly flattened all the graves.
Not only that, but in their quest to save money, they also neglected to perform any rites for the Lost Souls. Little did they know that disturbing the resting places of the dead would bring them great misfortune, and thus, a calamity quietly descended upon them.
After purchasing the Graveyard, it wasn't long before the area transformed into a dazzling amusement park.
However, on the very first day of its opening, a horrifying incident occurred. The Ferris wheel suddenly malfunctioned without warning, and a little girl fell from great heights, crashing to her death.
Everyone was terrified by the scene and fled in panic, except for one clown who approached slowly. Looking at the girl's lifeless body, an eerie smile crept across his face before he inexplicably hanged himself from the Ferris wheel.
It seemed that all of this was connected to the Lost Souls beneath.
Due to two fatalities occurring on the same day, the amusement park was forcibly shut down.
Fast forward fourteen years, a journalist named A Jie stumbled upon reports of the amusement park from that year, which brought back long-buried memories. Fourteen years ago, he and his sister had been on the Ferris wheel and had witnessed the tragic events unfold.
Feeling that something was amiss, A Jie returned to the amusement park to uncover the truth.
Now, it lay in ruins, exuding an eerie and sinister atmosphere.
Countless clown dolls hung from the trees, their faces twisted and terrifying, resembling people hanging lifelessly.
At that moment, laughter echoed around him—a child's playful voice. Before A Jie could react, something strange happened; the amusement park transformed in an instant into a Graveyard.
At that moment, a Ghostly Hand suddenly emerged from the ground, grabbing his ankle. A Jie struggled desperately, but it was clearly futile. The strength of the Ghostly Hand was astonishing; in no time at all, he was pulled into the earth, disappearing without a trace.
During the more than half a month since her brother A Jie went missing, his sister A Xiang had been plagued by terrifying nightmares, dreaming that she too had arrived at that amusement park.
In a daze, she saw her brother's gravestone standing before her, but before she could gather her thoughts, a pair of small hands suddenly grabbed her.
With a scream, A Xiang jolted awake from the nightmare, yet the dream felt eerily real. At that moment, a noise came from the nearby cabinet, and then a small boy radiating an aura of gloom crawled out. He stared intently at A Xiang, while her body felt as if it were paralyzed by a ghost.
Then she felt a chill above her head and saw a girl in white with long hair emerging from the wall.
With another scream, the scene vanished in an instant.
It turned out to be a dream within a dream.
But why had she been dreaming of that amusement park ever since her brother went missing?
Looking at the article about her brother in his room, A Xiang felt certain that his disappearance was connected to that amusement park. She then asked her mother to perform a ritual to find her brother's whereabouts.
Her mother was known locally as a powerful shaman and possessed an extraordinary Soul Capture Camera. As long as it was aimed at someone possessed by a spirit and a photo was taken, the ghost could be sealed within the image.
"Isn't there another way? Master, have you heard of soul capturing? If you don't remove the impurities from your friend, he won't get better."
"Leave me alone; I want to stay with him."
"My camera can only capture ghosts. If I take a picture of someone who isn't possessed, it will steal your soul, and you'll die."
As long as the photo is burned afterward, the ghost can be sent away, allowing it to reincarnate.
Although her mother was a shaman, she felt powerless regarding her son's disappearance.
"What are you doing? The police said they haven't found him yet. How can you say my brother is dead?"
"I dreamed about your brother's grave last night. I think you dreamed about it too; you know he’s gone."
"I don't want to hear your lies. You can fool others, but he is your son."
Clearly, A Xiang did not believe her mother's ghostly claims.
The next day, she gathered a few friends from Big Misfortune and prepared to head to the amusement park in search of her brother, unaware that this would turn into a journey of death.
