Uncertain how long he had been wandering, Li Jinshan finally arrived in Qinzhou.
At this moment, his Daoist robe was tattered and worn, making him look like a beggar.
In order to have a full meal, this once-great Grand Master set aside his pride and began to offer dream interpretations, divination, fortune-telling, and feng shui readings on the street.
However, after squatting by the roadside for two days and nights, not a single customer approached him, and he eventually fainted from hunger right there on the street.
Perhaps it was not yet Li Jinshan's time to perish; a well-known local wealthy merchant, Chen Tinghai, came to his rescue.
When Li Jinshan awoke, he found himself lying on a soft bed, attended by two beautiful maidservants. The table beside him was laden with delicious dishes of chicken, duck, fish, and meat.
After satisfying his long-standing hunger with a hearty meal, Li Jinshan met his benefactor, Chen Tinghai. The two hit it off immediately and felt as if they had known each other for ages. Li Jinshan decided to stay with the the Chen Family.
Chen Tinghai treated him to fine food and drink every day. Thus, Li Jinshan enjoyed a life of luxury at the the Chen Family ’s expense for half a year.
One day, after several rounds of drinks, Chen Tinghai expressed his inner turmoil: "Though I, Chen Tinghai, am wealthy beyond measure and have passed my fortieth year, I have no children or daughters. Why is that?"
Upon hearing this, Li Jinshan was somewhat surprised. He had already examined Chen Tinghai's face and determined that he was destined for hardship without wealth—a laborious fate according to the Seven Fiends Entering Fate.
However, looking at his descendants' palace indicated that he should have two sons and one daughter. Despite being fated to lack wealth, he possessed immense riches; he should have been blessed with children but had none.
It seemed that his fate had been altered. After living at the the Chen Family ’s expense for half a year, Li Jinshan felt guilty and decided to help Chen Tinghai uncover the reason behind this anomaly.
The next day, Li Jinshan began to examine the feng shui for Chen Tinghai. Finding no issues with the house's feng shui suggested that there might be problems with the Yin Tomb.
Chen Tinghai led Li Jinshan to the the Chen Family's ancestral tomb.
Upon seeing the feng shui of this place, Li Jinshan was secretly astonished; it was indeed a layout that concealed wealth beneath the pillow.
"Good eye, my dear brother! The feng shui of my ancestral tomb is precisely that which conceals wealth beneath the pillow," Chen Tinghai remarked. Observing this layout made Li Jinshan furrow his brow slightly; he had already understood the root cause of Chen Tinghai's childlessness.
Chen Tinghai was originally destined to be one of the Seven Fiends Entering Fate, a fate that would see him toil throughout his life with little hope of accumulating wealth. Yet, he had become extraordinarily rich.
The reason for this was the hidden wealth beneath the pillow-shaped hill, which altered the trajectory of his destiny.
While the hidden wealth was indeed a superior feng shui arrangement for accumulating riches, not everyone could place an Ancestral Tomb on such a treasure site.
To be buried here, one's ancestors must possess profound virtue and blessings; otherwise, it would harm their descendants' foundations, leading to a line of heirs cut off.
Looking at the hill resembling a pillow and the two graves atop it, Li Jinshan sighed and informed Chen Tinghai of the issues he had discerned.
Upon hearing this, Chen Tinghai feigned panic and asked if there were any feng shui sites that did not require such virtue and blessings. Li Jinshan casually replied, "There are indeed..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Chen Tinghai's face lit up with joy as he urgently pleaded, "Brother, you must help me! Otherwise, I, Chen Tinghai, will be left without heirs. Who will inherit my vast fortune?"
Li Jinshan furrowed his brow. Due to the feng shui, Chen Tinghai's fate had already transformed into one of being childless. If he were to forcibly alter this fate, he would surely face divine retribution.
"Brother Chen, your fate is already set in stone; I truly cannot help you. If you wish to change your circumstances, you must perform more good deeds and accumulate blessings; perhaps then there might be a turning point."
Upon hearing this, Chen Tinghai suddenly knelt down and begged earnestly, "Brother, I know you must have a way to change my fate. Please help me."
"Brother Chen, it's not that I don't want to help you; it's just that if I were to defy fate on your behalf, I would surely face divine punishment. The worst outcome could be death by lightning strikes; at best, I might suffer blindness or lameness and live a life filled with calamities," Li Jinshan expressed his concerns firmly.
Yet Chen Tinghai remained on his knees, pleading desperately with both kindness and threats.
Li Jinshan sighed deeply. He was someone who valued gratitude; if it weren't for Chen Tinghai's timely assistance, he might have starved to death on the streets.
Seeing his benefactor in such distress softened his heart.
"Alright then, I will help you defy fate."
Li Jinshan chose an auspicious day to prepare for relocating Chen Tinghai's parents' graves.
During his exile, he stumbled upon an exceptional piece of land with excellent feng shui—Lotus Pod Leopard Cave—where it was only fitting to bury Chen Tinghai's parents.
When Chen Tinghai beheld the feng shui arrangement of Lotus Pod Leopard Cave, he was utterly astonished.
Surrounded by mountains, the seven hills in the distance resembled a Lotus Pod, while the peaks appeared like lotus seeds, gently embraced by the surrounding mountains.
Next to these seven peaks stood a towering mountain, the main peak of Lotus Pod Leopard Cave, resembling a guardian watching over seven children. It was truly a masterpiece of nature.
"Brother, if I move my parents' Ancestral Tomb here, will it ensure that I have descendants?"
"Lotus Pod Leopard Cave is an excellent feng shui site for bearing children. Look at how the seven peaks are embraced by the mountains, just like the seven lotus seeds in a Lotus Pod, symbolizing the birth of seven children."
Following Li Jinshan's instructions, Chen Tinghai buried his parents' remains on the highest peak of the mountain and constructed seven empty graves beneath the seven peaks.
Once everything was completed, the ground suddenly trembled. Despite the clear skies, thunder roared ominously in the distance.
Li Jinshan's face turned pale with fear, and Chen Tinghai was thrown into a panic.
"Brother, what is happening?" Li Jinshan did not respond; he suddenly felt his vision blurring until he was engulfed in darkness, becoming blind.
He had anticipated divine retribution but never expected it to come so swiftly.
