At Sakuragaoka High School, the bell rang, signaling the end of class. Students emerged from the building in groups, laughter and chatter filling the air as they relished their rare free time. However, this tranquility was abruptly shattered by a piercing scream. 0

"Teacher! Teacher!" A girl rushed out of the staff room, panic etched on her pale face as she trembled and pointed towards the closed door behind her. 0

Chaos erupted on campus as students halted in their tracks, whispering to one another, curiosity and fear intertwining in their hearts. The principal arrived promptly, quickly organizing teachers and security personnel to cordon off the area while dialing for the police. 0

The sound of sirens grew louder as several police cars pulled up at the entrance of Sakuragaoka High School. Uniformed officers swiftly exited their vehicles and entered the campus. Leading them was a young female officer with a stern expression and sharp eyes— Silence, a Master Detective from Tokyo, renowned for her keen insight and extraordinary deductive skills. 0

Silence stepped into the staff room, surveying the disarray within. Desks and chairs were scattered about, papers strewn across the floor. In the corner of the room lay a middle-aged female teacher, lifeless in a pool of blood. Her face appeared peaceful, as if she had merely fallen asleep, but the glaring red stain on her chest cruelly revealed the truth. 0

Preliminary assessments indicated that she had died no more than half an hour ago. Silence crouched down to examine the body closely while instructing her assistant to document every detail of the scene. She noticed an open lesson plan scattered beside the teacher, still stained with fresh blood, and a fallen fountain pen with wet ink clinging to its nib. 0

"This case is unusual; we need to uncover the truth quickly," Silence declared as she stood up, scanning her surroundings with piercing eyes that seemed capable of penetrating through any fog of confusion. 0

As the investigation progressed, Silence gradually pieced together information about the victim. The deceased was named Naomi, a beloved math teacher at Sakuragaoka High School known for her kindness and amiability. According to those who knew her, Naomi had never been involved in any disputes or conflicts; thus, her sudden murder left everyone shocked and bewildered. 0

Silence began questioning witnesses and relevant personnel one by one, hoping to find even a sliver of a clue in their testimonies. However, all accounts were fragmented and failed to create a coherent picture. Just then, a detail caught Silence's attention. 0

"I remember Ms. Naomi had a class this afternoon but went into the staff room early to prepare her lesson plan," one student recalled. "And when she entered, she was carrying a package." 0

"A package?" Silence's mind raced as she immediately instructed her assistant to search for that package in the staff room. After a thorough search, they finally discovered an abandoned package in a storage cabinet. The exterior appeared intact, but inside it was completely empty. 0

Upon opening it, Silence detected a faint scent of perfume lingering inside—distinct from Naomi's usual fragrance. She realized that this package might be a clue left by the murderer. 0

To further trace its origin, Silence reviewed school surveillance footage. After repeated viewings, she spotted a suspicious figure: just before the incident occurred, a man dressed in a black trench coat and wearing a hat had been lurking near the school while holding a package similar to what they found at the scene. However, due to limited camera angles, he did not appear directly in front of the staff room's surveillance footage, leaving the case at an impasse once again. 0

At that moment, Silence also noticed something peculiar. On Naomi's lesson plan, besides the fresh bloodstains, there were several lines of shaky handwriting that seemed hastily written before her death. Upon closer inspection, Silence discerned that these scribbles resembled a series of numbers accompanied by an indistinct symbol. 0

What did these numbers and symbols mean? How were they connected to the case? Silence fell into deep thought. She understood that every detail could be crucial to solving this mystery; now she needed to connect these seemingly unrelated clues to unveil the truth behind this tragic event. 0
