A few days later, on a clear morning, Ryoko, Jiekawa, and Silence gathered again in front of the apartment building with new clues. This time, they planned to start from the outside of the building, searching for possible breakthroughs.
They discovered some strange marks on the ground, as if someone had left something behind. Ryoko crouched down to examine these marks closely and noticed that they seemed to relate to a specific pattern.
"It's a star-shaped pattern," Ryoko said.
Silence nodded. "That's right; it's a typical sun star symbol, representing a special belief or ritual."
"Could it be that the residents of The Floor are connected to this symbol?" Jiekawa asked.
Silence pondered for a moment before replying, "It's quite possible. Historically, this symbol has often been associated with some kind of evil power or ritual. If we can find more information about this symbol, we might uncover the secrets of The Floor's residents."
Thus, they began to gather information about the star symbol. After some effort, they finally found an ancient shrine that might be related. This shrine worshipped an idol known as the Evil God, said to grant people immense power and knowledge but at a heavy cost.
Inside the shrine, they discovered an ancient offering that detailed how to summon and communicate with the Evil God. More shockingly, the offering mentioned the names and relevant information about The Floor's residents. It turned out they were part of a secret organization made up of ordinary people trying to gain powerful abilities through some ritual. However, something went wrong during the ritual, leading to one member's disappearance.
"It seems we were right," Silence said. "The missing resident may have been taken by the Evil God."
"What should we do now?" Jiekawa asked.
After a moment of silence, Silence replied, "We need to find out what happened to the missing resident and stop them from continuing their communication with the Evil God. Otherwise, the entire apartment—and perhaps even the whole city—could be in danger."
In the following days, Ryoko, Jiekawa, and Silence continuously tracked down The Floor's residents. They discovered that these residents seemed to be planning a new ritual in an attempt to re-establish contact with the Evil God. However, they could not find any trace of the missing resident. Just when they felt hopeless, the missing resident suddenly appeared before them.
It turned out he was not dead but had been imprisoned by the Evil God in some mysterious place. He told them, "The ritual has already begun. If you want to stop me, you need to act quickly." As soon as he finished speaking, he vanished, leaving behind only an eerie laughter that echoed in their ears and sent chills down their spines.
But there was no time to dwell on fear; real danger had arrived. The entire city was shrouded in darkness, countless strange eyes watching them as if ready to pounce and devour them whole. Yet despite this overwhelming dread, they did not back down because they knew that only by overcoming fear and evil could they protect themselves and those around them.
Thus began their final confrontation with the Evil God. In the fierce battle that ensued, they gradually gained the upper hand and ultimately sealed the Evil God back into his idol while rescuing all those who had been imprisoned.
From that day forward, peace returned to the city. Those who had once disappeared came back home. Although the terrifying experience still haunted them, at least now they could finally live in peace. As for how things would develop in the future? That was left to time. After all, in this world filled with unknowns and dangers, new adventures awaited them—adventures that required courage and wisdom to explore, challenge, and transcend themselves.
