His expression turned cautious. "What conditions?"
"You need to take back the house you bought for Zhou Shanshan."
His expression changed instantly. "How do you know..."
I scoffed lightly. "If you want to keep something a secret, don't do it in the first place."
He fell silent.
I stood up to leave.
He quickly grabbed my arm. "I agree."
I smirked. "Also, she must get rid of the child in her womb immediately."
Ma Tao nodded.
The next day, he told me the issue with the house was resolved.
Shan Shan's child was gone too.
"Wife, I did it. Can you help me now?"
I smiled. "Of course."
Ma Tao sighed in relief.
I looked at him with a smile, adding silently in my heart,
"Just wait, I will make you lose everything slowly."
A few days later, Shan Shan moved out.
As she was moving, we happened to cross paths.
"You bitch, are you trying to ruin me on purpose?"
Shan Shan rushed at me, ready to hit me.
I slapped her back without hesitation.
Shan Shan didn't expect me to fight back.
She screamed in anger.
I looked at her disdainfully. "Are you happy that Ma Tao doesn't want you anymore?"
Shan Shan was hit where it hurt and screamed before lunging at me again.
I dodged her and turned towards the kitchen.
When she chased in after me, I splashed a cup of hot coffee at her.
"Ah!"
Zhou Shanshan screamed from the burn.
"My face, my face..."
I watched as she covered her face in pain, feeling a surge of satisfaction inside.
"Get out of here, and don't let me see you again."
"Ma Tao, help me..."
Shan Shan cried, tears streaming down her face like rain on a pear blossom.
Ma Tao emerged from the bedroom, and his expression immediately changed upon seeing the two of us.
"What are you doing?"
Shan Shan seemed to see a glimmer of hope.
"Ma Tao, save me! She wants to kill me!"
Ma Tao instinctively reached out to help her, but I shot him a cold glare.
"Ma Tao, if you dare to help her, don't blame me for being rude."
His hand froze in mid-air. He glanced between me and Shan Shan, a troubled look crossing his face.
"Shan Shan, you should go back."
Shan Shan looked at him in disbelief.
"Ma Tao, you..."
He couldn't meet her gaze.
Shan Shan collapsed onto the floor, covering her face as she began to wail.
"Ma Tao, you heartless man! You promised me you'd marry me!"
"And now, you're treating me like this for that venomous woman!"
Her cries were sharp and piercing. Ma Tao's face showed signs of impatience.
"Stop crying. I'll give you some money, and we’ll have nothing to do with each other anymore."
At the mention of money, Shan Shan's tears ceased instantly. She looked up at Ma Tao with hopeful eyes.
"Really?"
Ma Tao nodded and handed her a card.
"Just don’t show up again."
Shan Shan took the card with joy, nodding eagerly.
After she left, Ma Tao cautiously looked at me.
"Wife, I did everything you said."
I shot him a glance.
"Don't let me see her again."
"And if you dare to fool around outside again, don't blame me for being rude."
Ma Tao shrank back slightly.
"I won't dare anymore."
I snorted coldly and turned back to my room.
Ma Tao came in and tried to coax me for a long time.
I pretended to be appeased by him.
"If you dare to deceive me again, I won't go easy on you."
Ma Tao quickly shook his head.
"I won't dare anymore."
He hugged me, trying to please me. "Wife, let's live our lives well."
I smiled lightly. "Alright."
Ma Tao grinned happily, thinking he had calmed me down.
Little did he know, my revenge had just begun.
---
Zhou Shanshan was now unemployed and had been staying at home.
The community she lived in was neither too far nor too close; it was an old apartment building.
I found out where she lived through some contacts.
I gathered a few friends and went straight to her place.
Ma Tao was held up by work and couldn't come.
"You shameless woman, come out!"
"Everyone, come look! This woman is Zhou Shanshan!"
