James sat quietly in his office, gazing down at everything happening on campus through the window. He watched as Laf and the members of the Moonshadow Society faced attacks and verbal bullying—whether it was paint being thrown, stones hurled, or public humiliation, he observed it all without intervening or stepping in to help his students. He understood that this external pressure was precisely the catalyst he needed; the best way for a group to truly unite was to have a common enemy. 0

He knew that as the external threats intensified, the members of the Moonshadow Society would only become more resolute in their beliefs and actions. Those students who had initially been merely curious about the occult would no longer join just for the thrill; they would begin to see themselves as engaged in a "struggle"—against society's misunderstanding, against oppression, and against those ignorant and arrogant critics. This was exactly the situation James desired. 0

"External threats will only make them more united," James thought with a cold smile, taking a gentle sip of his coffee. 0

He recognized that when people are pushed to their limits, they become more easily manipulated than ever before. These young individuals were at a crossroads in their lives, filled with dissatisfaction, rebellion, and doubts about their self-worth. When societal pressure mounted, only a strong leader could provide them with a sense of belonging and security. 0

"As long as the pressure from outside is strong enough, they will naturally seek refuge within... and I will be the one to lead them toward 'salvation,'" James's gaze turned cold and profound. 0

He was not in a hurry to act because he knew everything needed time to ferment. Each verbal attack and every instance of external suppression pushed the Moonshadow Society toward a more extreme situation. When these students found themselves with no way out, pushed to their limits, he would be able to easily manipulate their thoughts and actions. At that point, these young people would no longer be ordinary students but devoted followers ready to open the gates of blood moon for him. 0

James shook his head slightly, a barely perceptible smile gracing his lips. He understood that this game had only just begun, and those attacking the Moonshadow Society were unknowingly becoming part of his plan. 0

"Let them continue to oppose..." James whispered, his eyes glinting with a hint of malevolence. "When their anger reaches its peak, that will be my moment of true harvest." 0

As time passed, opposition to the Moonshadow Society grew increasingly intense; the campus was filled with accusations and hostility directed at them. These voices quickly escalated from verbal condemnation to more extreme actions. Every time members of the Moonshadow Society stepped outside, they endured malicious stares and verbal assaults. Words like "cult," "freak," and "madman" often accompanied their steps, piercing each member's heart like sharp blades. 0

Initially, attacks targeted their ritual space. When meetings were held late at night, there were often individuals secretly following them from afar, watching intently or occasionally throwing stones and trash to disrupt their activities. On several occasions during rituals, a group charged in suddenly, shouting sharply as they overturned altars and destroyed carefully prepared items. 0

"What are you doing? This is insane!" those individuals roared as they scattered the society members' belongings around them, their faces twisted with malice and disdain. 0

The society's office also became a target for those venting their anger. It wasn't long before members discovered that someone had deliberately broken their office door lock; red paint covered it with insults like "Get out," "Freak," and "Cult." Inside, documents and decorations lay in disarray, while ritual tools were trampled into pieces. 0

Laf and the other members could no longer tolerate the situation; she decided to speak out for the society. She believed that if they explained rationally that their activities were harmless, perhaps the attackers would relent. She united several members of the society and submitted a written statement to the school, emphasizing that their rituals and actions were entirely legal and did not violate school regulations. 0

"We are not a cult, nor are we engaging in any dangerous activities," Laf explained in the statement. "Our activities stem solely from our research and exploration of mysticism, and have nothing to do with evil. Please stop your unfounded attacks and acts of destruction against us." 0

However, her statement not only failed to quell the attacks but instead exacerbated the situation. The opponents were unwilling to listen to any explanations and viewed the society's statement as a provocation. Those who attacked them became even more brazen, as if each act of resistance provided them with an excuse to escalate their aggression. 0

"It seems these freaks really take themselves seriously!" a student sneered as Laf and several members walked by, throwing trash at them. 0

One day, while the society was conducting a ritual, a group of angry students suddenly burst in, shouting loudly. "Get out of our school!" they yelled, waving sticks and metal rods, overturning their altar, smashing mystical tools, destroying all their hard work in an instant. Laf tried to intervene but was pushed to the ground, scraping her arm. Her heart was filled with helplessness and anger as she watched their efforts being trampled. 0

"We haven't done anything wrong!" Laf stood up, crying out, "We are just studying mysticism! You don't understand at all!" 0

Yet these cries fell on deaf ears, only provoking more laughter and insults. "Don't understand? We see very clearly! You freaks should have been kicked out of here long ago!" they shouted shamelessly, vandalizing everything related to the society. 0

The attacks became increasingly frequent; both verbal abuse and violence left the members of the Moonshadow Society feeling lost. Every time they walked through campus, they felt an invisible pressure closing in on them. Even normal discussions and activities became impossible. What was once a refuge from societal constraints—a place where they sought spiritual solace—had turned into a hell where anyone could strike at any moment. 0

Laf felt an unprecedented sense of defeat and loneliness. "What are we going to do?" she whispered to herself as she looked at the wreckage of their office. "We haven't done anything wrong; why are they treating us like this?" 0

The members of the society hung their heads, fear and anger flickering in their eyes. They gradually realized that this storm was far from over, and that external pressure would not only persist but intensify. 0
