Lin Fan jumped up excitedly at home and exclaimed, "Yay!"
At the door, Li Yuer's expression darkened for a moment as she thought, I haven't even closed the door yet.
After shutting the door, Li Yuer pursed her lips and muttered, "That little brat!"
Sighing, she changed into a set of comfortable home pajamas and headed towards the kitchen. Just then, her phone vibrated.
Cao Chong had sent a message: "Yuer, let’s go watch a movie tomorrow. I’ll treat you."
Li Yuer didn’t pay much attention as she was already busy cooking in the kitchen. When she finished preparing the meal, she thought for a moment and stepped out, grabbing her phone to check Cao Chong's message.
Like with her usual suitors, she quickly typed a response and sent it before decisively blocking him.
Meanwhile, Cao Chong was at a bar, boasting to his friends about how he was about to win over an exquisite beauty. At that moment, his phone vibrated. He pulled it out and said to those around him, "Keep it down; my future beauty just messaged me."
"Young Master Chong, you’re truly impressive!"
"Young Master Chong, you’re so mighty!"
The surrounding women began to flatter him with laughter. A smug smile appeared on Cao Chong's face as he reached out and pinched one of the women playfully before unlocking his phone.
When he saw the message on the screen, his expression darkened. "What the..." he said.
"Damn it, you little vixen, at thirty years old, still pretending to be innocent? Ridiculous."
Around them, the barmaids noticed the message and snickered quietly, not daring to speak up.
A confident woman spoke up, "Chong Shao, let's drink."
"Let's drink."
Cao Chong's eyes sparkled with excitement. Li Yuer's beauty was striking. Cao Chong vowed to win over this stunning beauty.
"You are mine," he silently declared in his heart.
Ding ding dong.
Lin Fan stood at Li Yuer's doorstep and knocked on the door. Li Yuer opened it, revealing herself in a silk nightgown. She looked exceptionally beautiful, gentle, and graceful.
Lin Fan said softly, "Auntie, I'm here."
Li Yuer paused for a moment, her pretty face lighting up as she replied, "Come in!"
Lin Fan stepped inside and took a seat at the table, ready for dinner. Seeing Lin Fan lounging like a little lord, Li Yuer rolled her eyes and said, "Come over and help!"
"Oh, okay."
Lin Fan quickly got up and went to assist her. He carried the dishes out of the kitchen and placed them on the table.
Li Yuer came out holding a drink and placed it on the table, saying, "Let's eat."
Lin Fan smiled at Li Yuer and said, "Aunt Yuer, you are so nice."
Li Yuer replied with a smile, "I would be even happier if you called me Sister Yuer."
Lin Fan's expression turned serious as he said, "I can't lie."
"You..." Li Yuer rolled her eyes and said, "Just eat."
"Yes."
With that, Lin Fan began to dig into his meal. Li Yuer clenched her delicate fist and playfully punched Lin Fan.
Confused, Lin Fan asked, "Aunt Yuer, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I'm just a bit upset," she replied.
"Oh."
While eating, Lin Fan continued to ask, "Why?"
Li Yuer frowned and said, "I'm not upset anymore."
"That's so strange!" Lin Fan muttered under his breath.
Inside, Li Yuer let out a cold laugh and thought to herself:
