When the old man Tang and his companions arrived, Tang Zhi and Ye Fangfei were already waiting outside. Ever since they learned yesterday that the old man was coming, Ye Fangfei and Tang Zhi had been busy preparing. 0

First, they made the bed in their home, hung up the curtains and door drapes. It was early August, and the weather had turned cooler in the mornings and evenings. At night, they would need to cover themselves with a light blanket. Their new home certainly didn’t have any light blankets yet; however, Tang Zhi had one in his dormitory that he used at night. 0

The new blanket that Ye Fangfei made was definitely not suitable for guests. Finally, after some persuasion from Hao Chunying, they decided to use an unused quilt from their home as a temporary solution. This was possible because Hao Chunying worked at a textile factory and had plenty of fabric; otherwise, they wouldn’t have had an extra quilt lying around. 0

Although it was labeled as unused, it wasn’t very old; it was just something they occasionally used when guests came over. It had been washed and stored away neatly, so it was just right for Tang Zhi’s parents' visit. 0

Yesterday afternoon, they arranged the accommodations, and this morning they bought bowls and basins, rice, flour, oil, and seasonings. With Tang Zhi’s parents coming over, they would be able to cook for themselves. Ye Fangfei even asked Hao Chunying to help her exchange some fabric; she wanted to show her appreciation by making a piece of clothing for each of her in-laws. 0

With everything set up at home, Ye Fangfei accompanied Tang Zhi to the train station to pick them up. “Why haven’t they come out yet? Is this the right time?” Ye Fangfei said as she looked at the bustling crowd. 0

“It should be this time; there’s no mistake,” Tang Zhi replied as he peered into the train station. 0

“Here they come!” Tang Zhi exclaimed as he spotted his parents emerging from the station from a distance due to his height. 0

“Dad! Mom! Over here!” He called out while pulling Ye Fangfei through the crowd toward them. 0

“Did I just hear Sanzi’s voice?” Old Lady Tang finally made her way through the crowd and vaguely heard her son calling out. 0

“I didn’t hear anything,” Old Man Tang stopped to listen carefully but couldn’t catch any sound. He looked around but didn’t see anyone. 0

Behind them, Tang Zhiwen and Tang Zhiwu were carrying bags filled with various items as they followed along. “Mom! Dad! Why are you just standing there? What are you doing?” 0

“It’s nothing, nothing; we’re coming,” Old Man Tang thought his wife had misheard something. 0

“Dad! Mom!” At that moment, Tang Zhi broke through the crowd and reached them. 0

“Sanzi! It really is you!” Old Lady Tang hadn’t seen her son for two years, and now that she stood before him, her eyes turned red with emotion. 0

"Mother, it's me." Tang Zhi looked at his mother, his eyes reddening, feeling a pang in his heart. 0

"Father, give it to me." Tang Zhi turned to take the nylon bag from the old man's hands. 0

"Alright." The old man replied, handing over the items to Tang Zhi. 0

Seeing his son after such a long time filled the old man with excitement. However, he had to maintain his parental authority, so he didn't let his eyes redden like Tang's mother did. 0

"Third Brother." 0

"Third Brother." 0

Tang Zhiwen and Tang Zhiwu stepped forward to greet Tang Zhi. 0

"Big Brother, Second Brother." Tang Zhi nodded in acknowledgment to them. 0

Noticing that his second brother, Tang Zhiwu, was carrying a nylon bag on his shoulder and holding a package in his hands, Tang Zhi took the package from him to carry it himself. 0

Meanwhile, Ye Fangfei saw that Tang Zhi was so excited to see his parents that he had forgotten about her. She reached out and tugged at the sleeve of his shirt. 0

Tang Zhi glanced at Ye Fangfei and suddenly remembered that he hadn't introduced her to his parents yet. 0
