Since the day she secretly signed her sister up for the countryside program, Gao Dachui had not returned home, and he let out a deep sigh. He wondered where that girl had been these past few days. Although he was angry at her for being selfish and putting her sister in a difficult position, his anger had mostly faded after a few days.
He started to worry again; after all, they were sisters, and it was natural to be concerned when one hadn’t been seen for several days. Moreover, with two daughters, one of whom was now going to the countryside, it spared him and his wife from having to choose between them. Gao Xiangchun was taken aback that her father would ask her to forgive Gao Huaihua. How could that be possible? She felt she could never reconcile with Huaihua in this lifetime.
In fact, ever since she learned that one of them had to go to the countryside, Gao Xiangchun had prepared herself for the situation. As the elder sister, she was used to accommodating her younger siblings and had intended to volunteer herself for the countryside program while letting her sister stay in the city. “Dad, you don’t need to say anything more. Since she has already signed up at the street office, I’ll just go to the countryside,” Gao Xiangchun stated firmly. “But as for Gao Huaihua, I’ll say this: from now on, I want nothing to do with her.” Her eyes locked onto Gao Dachui's.
Gao Dachui was taken aback; he hadn’t expected his elder daughter to be so stubborn. What should he do now? It was true that the younger daughter had made a mistake, and it was understandable for the elder daughter not to forgive her. However, as their parents, watching their two daughters grow apart like this was something they couldn’t accept.

"Xiangchun, that's your sister! How can you say that?"
"She did something wrong, but she's still so young. When she comes back, let her apologize to you. We can just let this go," Li Xiaomei said. "Your dad and I are also planning to send you to the countryside."
Huaiflower was just too anxious and signed you up without thinking.
Gao Xiangchun felt even sadder. It had always been like this; no matter what happened, their parents always told her to give in to her younger siblings. Her sister was only a year younger than her.
This time, Gao Xiangchun decided not to listen to them anymore. If no one cared for her, she would care for herself. As for her parents, if they preferred her younger siblings, then so be it. She wouldn't bend over backward just to gain their attention, nor would she sacrifice herself for the sake of her siblings.
However, she was going to the countryside soon. She had heard that life there was tough, so she needed to make sure to bring along as many supplies as possible.
