"Darling, what's wrong? Did you eat something bad?" Tang Zhi asked with concern. "You shouldn't go to work; I'll take a leave for you. Let's go to the hospital." 0

"Get away from me! You smell like fish," Ye Fangfei waved her hand dismissively. 0

Tang Zhi raised his arm and sniffed. "I don't smell anything. How come I can't smell it?" 0

"Just take that plate of fish away and change your clothes. If I can't smell it, then it's fine," Ye Fangfei said, vaguely realizing what was happening. 0

She thought about how her period was already half a month late and began to suspect she might be pregnant. The original owner had irregular periods, so she hadn't thought much of it, assuming it was just fatigue from her hometown. However, after vomiting this morning, she was almost certain she was pregnant. 0

Although Tang Zhi was puzzled, he still listened to Ye Fangfei and took the plate of fish to the kitchen. He changed into a different jacket before returning to the dining table. 0

"What's really going on with you?" Tang Zhi asked, noticing that Ye Fangfei seemed unusually calm. He suspected she knew something. 0

Ye Fangfei gently rubbed her belly and smiled softly. "I think I might be pregnant." 0

"What? Pregnant? Are you serious? We're really having a baby?" Tang Zhi stammered in excitement. "I’m going to be a dad? Darling, pinch me!" 0

"I'm not sure yet, but my period is already half a month late, and now the smell of fish makes me feel nauseous," Ye Fangfei explained. "I think I might be pregnant, but we'll need to confirm it at the hospital." 0

"It must be true! Haha! I'm so happy! I'm going to be a dad!" Tang Zhi grinned foolishly as he leaned over to touch Ye Fangfei's belly. 0

"Stop being silly and eat your food. After we finish eating, we should go to the hospital for a check-up," Ye Fangfei playfully pushed him away. 0

"Right, we need to go to the hospital for a check-up. I'll take leave for you right away; I should take leave too," Tang Zhi said with a goofy smile. 0

After saying that, he sat back down at his seat still grinning like an idiot. 0

Ye Fangfei ignored him and cautiously took a bite of porridge with some pickles. Thankfully, she didn't feel nauseous from it. 0

After finishing a bowl of porridge, she tentatively tried a piece of egg pancake. Again, she felt fine. 0

It seemed that as long as she stayed away from fishy smells, everything would be alright. 0

Tang Zhi ate while taking care of Ye Fangfei. When he saw her put down her chopsticks, he quickly asked, "Wife, shall I serve you another bowl of porridge?" 0

Ye Fangfei shook her head. "No, I'm full." 0

Seeing that his wife seemed sincere, Tang Zhi didn’t insist any further. He finished his own bowl of porridge in just a few bites and then took the dishes to the kitchen to wash. 0

Ye Fangfei wanted to help by taking the leftover pickles to the kitchen, but Tang Zhi anxiously stopped her. "Wife, just sit down. I can handle it." 0

After saying that, he gently guided Ye Fangfei back into the room and only felt relieved once she was seated on the sofa. 0

After washing the dishes, Tang Zhi rode his bicycle to both the team and the department store to request leave for the two of them. Only then did he take Ye Fangfei to the hospital. 0

"Wife, sit tight and hold onto my waist," Tang Zhi said as he helped her onto the back seat of his bike, which he had specially padded with a cotton cushion. 0

"You're being too careful; I'm not a child," Ye Fangfei playfully tapped him, feeling that he was overly cautious. 0

Tang Zhi just smiled foolishly and didn’t reply, but his actions remained careful nonetheless. 0

Seeing that Tang Zhi wouldn’t listen no matter what she said, Ye Fangfei laughed and decided not to bother with him anymore. 0

The journey from their home to the hospital usually took half an hour, but Tang Zhi took a full hour to arrive. 0
