"I said there was no one at home to take care of her, and she replied that she could help keep an eye on her during the day." 0

"I'll discuss it with you when I get back. What do you think about this?" Ye Fangfei explained. 0

"Aunt Zhao is actually a good choice. Although she sometimes likes to take advantage a bit, her character is decent," Tang Zhicheng said after thinking for a moment. "The main thing is that we all live in the same courtyard, so it's convenient for pick-up and drop-off." 0

"Since you think it's okay, I'll talk to Aunt Zhao about it tomorrow." 0

"By the way, how much should we pay Aunt Zhao? We can't let her work for free; we should give her something for taking care of the child." 0

"How about ten yuan a month? Sending the child to daycare costs about three or four yuan a month, so giving Aunt Zhao ten yuan seems fair." 0

"You'll drop her off when you go to work and pick her up when you get off. Come back at noon to feed her." 0

"If I'm off or you're off, we'll take care of her ourselves." Tang Zhicheng compared the options and felt that ten yuan was reasonable. 0

Ye Fangfei nodded, "I think ten yuan is about right too. Aunt Zhao only makes around two or three yuan a month from making matchboxes." 0

"Then I'll talk to Aunt Zhao tomorrow and see what she thinks." 0

Having settled on the arrangement for the child, Ye Fangfei began to worry about Tang Zhicheng's needs. 0

"Watch our daughter; I’ll go make something for you to eat on the way." After saying this, Ye Fangfei intended to head to the kitchen. 0

However, Tang Zhicheng stopped her, "Wife, I can eat anything; you've worked all day and must be tired. Don't bother with it." 0

"Just eating whatever won't do; my stomach can't handle being hungry one moment and full the next!" 0

"I'll make you some instant noodles and prepare some fried noodles for you to take along. The weather has turned cold; I'll also boil a few eggs and put them in with the instant noodles. It’s nutritious and filling." 0

After finishing her words, Ye Fangfei went into the kitchen to get busy. 0

Tang Zhicheng stayed in the room with their daughter. Once she fell asleep, he joined Ye Fangfei in the kitchen. 0

The two of them worked until ten o'clock at night before they finished packing everything for Tang Zhicheng. 0

After working all day and taking care of their child, then being busy half the night again, Ye Fangfei was exhausted. After washing up, she collapsed into bed. 0

Tang Zhicheng glanced at their little girl, changed her diaper, and then climbed onto the bed beside Ye Fangfei to sleep. 0

Early the next morning, before dawn broke, Ye Fangfei got up. 0

Tang Zhicheng had to leave early, so she got up to cook him a bowl of noodles. Outside, the weather was cold and biting, and she wanted to make sure her man had something warm to eat before heading off to work. 0

Inside the house, Tang Zhicheng woke up at the right time. He reached out but didn’t find his wife in the bed. He reached over again and felt his daughter’s small hand. Listening closely, he could hear some movement coming from the kitchen. He knew it must be his wife preparing breakfast for him. 0

He quickly got up, dressed, and went to the kitchen, where he saw his wife cooking noodles. 0

“Why are you up so early? You could have slept a little longer,” Tang Zhicheng said as he approached her from behind and wrapped his arms around her. 0

Ye Fangfei turned around with a sweet smile. “You have to drive, so I want to make sure you have something warm to eat before you go.” 0

“Go wash up first; I’ll have this ready soon,” she added. 0

Tang Zhicheng leaned over and kissed her before heading off to wash up. 0

Ye Fangfei touched the spot where he had kissed her, smiling sweetly. 0

As Tang Zhicheng washed up, he glanced back at Ye Fangfei’s busy figure in the kitchen and smiled contentedly. This was what life was like for a couple: he cared about her hard work outside, while she understood how challenging it was for him to take care of their child. 0
