In the evening, when Tang Zhi returned home, Ye Fangfei shared with him the updates about Ye Zhi Jun's recent blind date, as well as the plans of Hao Chunying and her husband. Ye Fangfei usually kept nothing from Tang Zhi; they discussed everything openly.
Just like now, she said, "I told my mom not to consider Xiao Yue Liang. We have our own Xiao Yue Liang, so there's no way she would be treated poorly."
"Exactly, our Xiao Yue Liang doesn’t need her grandparents to worry about her; they can just take care of Ye Ting," Tang Zhi immediately replied.
Tang Zhi truly had no objections to this; he was quite capable and could manage his daughter well without relying on others. After chatting for a while longer, they took their child to bed.
Although Ye Fangfei was on vacation these days, Tang Zhi was still quite busy helping out at various units. Despite the busyness, he was happy about it since helping any unit usually came with some benefits. Not to mention, the items given by each unit were enough for them to have a prosperous year. They might even have some left over to send gifts back to Ye Fangfei's family.
The next morning, Tang Zhi left early again. He was helping out at the textile factory today, specifically for Factory Director Hao Chunying. It was said that this time the textile factory planned to exchange defective fabric for goods from other factories. It was unclear who had come up with this idea, but it turned out to be quite clever and effective.
The textile factory might not have much else, but they always had defective fabric available. Similarly, the enamel factory had plenty of chipped enamelware. And as for the hardware factory, could they really lack scissors or kitchen knives?
Thus, several units decided to collaborate on this exchange. Today, Tang Zhi was tasked with this job.
After he left, Ye Fangfei cuddled with their daughter and went back to sleep. Outside, the weather was cold and harsh, but lying in the warm bed and enjoying a lazy morning was simply delightful.
They slept until the sun was high in the sky, and only then did Ye Fangfei and her daughter get up.
Even after waking, they didn’t bother to cook breakfast. Each of them made a cup of malt milk and had a couple of cookies. Ye Fangfei felt unsatisfied and grabbed two more pieces of steamed cake to eat. Since they had breakfast so late, they weren’t in a hurry for lunch.
They took Little Moon out to the courtyard to chat with others, allowing her to play with her little friends. Little Moon’s playmate was Yao Feixue’s son, who was a few months younger than her, but the two children got along well.
Ye Fangfei led her daughter straight to find Yao Feixue. Today, Yao Feixue was off work and at home taking care of her child.
“Feixue, you finally have a day off, and you’re still busy? What are you up to?” Ye Fangfei entered and saw that all the clothes in Yao Feixue's wardrobe were turned out.
“I’m just sorting through the clothes I don’t wear anymore to save some space,” Yao Feixue replied as she picked through the unwanted garments.
“Can’t you wait until after the New Year to do this?” Ye Fangfei found a chair and sat down.
“It’s not that I want to be busy during the New Year; it’s just that we’re going back to my hometown for the holiday this year. My father-in-law’s family is from Shaanxi, and I’ve never been there, but my mother-in-law says it’s a very poor place.”
