In recent years, they had seen Gao Huaihua bringing men home quite often. The man she married turned out to be a good-for-nothing, and their marriage didn’t improve anything. Sometimes, Gao Dachui would get angry and tell Gao Huaihua not to come back anymore. But every time she sweet-talked him a bit, he would soften his heart again. After a few more visits where she took things, he would threaten to cut ties with her once more. Yet, when she cried and begged, he would relent again. It was an endless cycle.
Their neighbors initially got riled up watching this drama unfold but eventually grew accustomed to it. Such in-laws were indeed not worth having; it seemed like his wife had thought this through clearly.
"Wife, you're right. Gao Huaihua is like a sticky plaster; once you're stuck with her, you can't get rid of her," Tang Zhicheng agreed wholeheartedly.
"With a sister like that, even if Gao Xiangchun is great, we wouldn’t dare take her into our family," Ye Fangfei nodded firmly.
While they discussed this at home, in the courtyard of the Gao family, Gao Xiangchun was anxiously asking her parents about the situation.
"Mom, Dad, what did Ye Fangfei say?" she pressed.
"Oh dear, the Ye family isn’t suitable for you; you can forget about it," Li Xiaomei sighed.
"Why? Is it that Sister Ye disagrees?" Gao Xiangchun asked incredulously.
"No, it's the Ye family that said they won't have children within ten years after marriage."
This requirement is outrageous. How old will you be in ten years? Whether you can still have children is also a question. Besides, by then, their child will already be fifteen. What if they don't want you anymore? After all, they already have a son and there's no rush.

Gao Xiangchun fell silent as well. She felt wronged for having to marry Ye Zijun with a child, and now they wanted her to wait ten years without having any.
This simply wouldn't do. Just as her mother said, ten years can bring about significant changes. She couldn't envision what things would be like a decade from now.
If that's the case, the Ye family would have to give up.
"Mom, what should I do? I only have five days left before I have to go back. I don't want to go back. If I return, it will be difficult for me to come back again," Gao Xiangchun said.
"Why don't you reconsider the guy your aunt introduced to you? That young man may be a bit short, but his family's conditions are really good," Li Xiaomei cautiously suggested.
