Wang Zhaodi and Zhang Man took the dishes to the kitchen to wash them, while Tang Zhi stayed behind to chat with his parents and two older brothers. Ye Fangfei greeted everyone briefly before heading back to the room to check on Little Sun.
"Zhi, you stay with Mom and Dad. I'm going to see Little Sun," Ye Fangfei said.
Old Lady Tang also remembered that her little grandson was sleeping alone in the room, so she quickly added, "You should go check on him. He's still so small, and it's not good for him to be alone. What if he wakes up and falls?"
Ye Fangfei nodded and then called over Little Moon: "Dear, are you going back with Mom or staying here to play with your cousin?"
Since Little Moon arrived, the older girls had been following her around, playing together. Now, after finishing her meal, Little Moon pulled out some yarn from her pocket and began teaching Little Moon how to play with a skipping rope.
First, the older girl demonstrated how to play while Little Moon watched closely. Then she encouraged Little Moon to try it herself, mimicking their movements.
Little Moon was thoroughly enjoying the game and had no intention of leaving her cousin. "Mom, I want to keep playing with my cousin. You can go watch the baby," she said without looking up.
The older girl chimed in, "Don't worry, Auntie. I'll keep an eye on Little Moon."
"Alright then, thank you for your help," Ye Fangfei replied with a smile.
Perhaps she had never been thanked before; upon hearing Ye Fangfei's words, the older girl's face immediately flushed red.
Ye Fangfei reminded Tang Zhi, "Zhi, if Little Moon wants to go outside, remember to put her coat on and give her a hat. We don't want her catching a cold."
"I know; I'll keep an eye on her. You should go lie down for a bit too; you've been exhausted from traveling these past few days," Tang Zhi said tenderly.
"Okay, I'll head back now." Ye Fangfei said as she turned and left.
Once Ye Fangfei was gone, Tang Zhiwen and the others began asking Tang Zhi about his experiences outside.
"Third Brother, tell us about Haicheng!"
"Yeah, tell us about that Huai country! Are things really that cheap there?" Tang Zhiwu chimed in eagerly.
Tang Zhi turned back to them and continued sharing his experiences: "Absolutely! Although most things there are second-hand, there are also new items available. However, the old stuff is really inexpensive."
Tang Zhi recounted everything he had seen during his time in Haicheng.
For Tang Zhi, who often traveled far and wide, these matters were nothing unusual. However, for the Tang family members who had never left their county, this was all fresh and unheard of.
Tang Zhi spoke until his throat felt dry, but he couldn't resist the eager questions from his parents and two older brothers. He could only take a sip of water and continue.
Ye Fangfei returned to her room, where her little sun was still asleep. She was tired as well, so she took off her shoes and planned to lie down for a nap.
However, before she could fall asleep, Zhang Man came to knock on the door. "Sister-in-law, sister-in-law, can I come in?"
Upon hearing Zhang Man's voice, Ye Fangfei hesitated. Although she didn't want to deal with her, since she was already at the door, she had no choice but to let her in. "Come in."
Zhang Man heard the response from inside and nervously stepped in. She looked at Ye Fangfei and shyly said, "Sister-in-law, I wanted to talk to you for a moment."
Ye Fangfei nodded and replied, "Have a seat. What do you want to talk about?"
