As Blue Face Hero launched a punch, in that fleeting moment, Godslayer surprisingly managed to react. His left hand formed a fist and collided with Blue Face Hero's incoming blow.
"Boom!"
The force of his own punch echoed, yet there was no sign of Blue Face Hero reacting. Instead, he slowly began to dissipate, leaving no trace behind. Godslayer immediately realized—
A clone!
The Shadow Clone Technique had always been a specialty of Blue Face Hero, often creating illusions on the battlefield to execute unexpected attacks.
Godslayer quickly became alert to his surroundings. Sure enough, from the southeast, southwest, northeast, and northwest directions, four new clones of Blue Face Hero lunged at him. He couldn't tell which one was real, but they were all undoubtedly deceptive!
"Did you think I couldn't use Spell Arts in close combat?!" Godslayer shouted at the approaching clones. He could see through Blue Face Hero's strategy and was adjusting his combat approach; otherwise, he would just be led around by the nose.
Suddenly! The eyes on the blade of Godslayer's "Tear Star" battle axe lit up. At that moment, it resembled a staff shimmering with green starlight. Godslayer held the axe upright as if it were a staff and simply struck it against the ground. An energy wave blossomed from him like a blooming lotus, raising dust and debris around him like a towering tsunami, erupting outward.
At that moment, Godslayer stood as a god in the center of a flowerbed, watching the energy wave he created surge toward the four clones of Blue Face Hero. He genuinely wanted to see which of these clones was the real Blue Face Hero. These clones were fragile; any attack would cause them to vanish instantly. Even the punch he threw earlier had been enough to make them disappear, let alone the energy wave he was now unleashing!
However, the outcome was still beyond Godslayer's expectations.
Wherever the energy wave spread, all four clones disappeared. The energy wave itself seemed to hit an invisible wall, swirling around like smoke before dissipating moments later—none of those clones were the real Blue Face Hero!
"Nars... you truly are cunning," Godslayer mused as he stood like a deity, sensing the changes in the surrounding energy field. He was searching and assessing where Blue Face Hero might finally appear.
In an instant, the battlefield became eerily quiet. The only remnants were the severed body of the Zombie King, the dazed form of Fierce Eagle, and Godslayer Bansa, who stood admiring his handiwork. The heavy rain continued to pour down, creating an oppressive atmosphere as if what hung in the sky was not bright sunlight but rather the stench of slaughter. The rain swayed with the wind like a backdrop, while Ban Sa stood motionless within this shifting curtain of rain, his green energy patterns appearing and retracting like tendrils. At that moment, he resembled not so much a statue but rather a predator lying in wait for an opportunity to strike.
Yet Nars was not present; he had hidden himself away. While Nars lurked in darkness, Ban Sa remained visible.
Who would be the hunter? Who would be the prey?
"Nars..."
"Let me guess where you are..."
"Here!"
Suddenly, Godslayer’s eyes lit up as he raised his massive axe high above his head, its blade pointing upward like a gaping maw ready to devour—he sensed a threat from above. This indescribable battle instinct had been honed to perfection by Ban Sa!
"What?!" exclaimed Blue Face Hero. If he continued his descent with an attack, he would land right on the axe blade and be easily slain upon impact. With no other choice, he twisted his body and activated his thrusters, making a sharp turn before landing on solid ground.
"I’ve even hidden in the Time-Space Equipment Library, yet he can still sense my threat," thought Blue Face Hero, rolling onto solid ground.
His original strategy had been to mimic how he had once killed Xiu Sha, using clones to distract his opponent before descending from above to deliver a lethal strike with his Laser Long Curved Blade. However, he never anticipated that Ban Sa’s focus would remain undistracted by his clones; he had been using his battle instinct to seek out where he had hidden!
In that moment, Blue Face Hero realized he had unwittingly become the prey!
"Your usual tricks are nothing special," Godslayer sneered, as the battle armor on his calves began to morph. He pushed off the ground with force and charged straight at Blue Face Hero.
"If strategy won't work, then I'll just have to go all out!" Blue Face Hero's gaze sharpened. The Third-Order Space-Time Equipment Library unfolded before him once more, revealing a weapon reminiscent of the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe, which he grasped tightly. As Godslayer lunged at him, he merely sidestepped slightly, evading the attack while simultaneously countering. The sharp weapon sliced through Godslayer's side armor, tearing it off and leaving it on the ground.
This weapon, which Nars had yet to name, was already in action on the battlefield. It was a brand-new third-tier weapon he had crafted during his preparations on Earth, utilizing molecular arrangement technology and equipped with a kinetic cutting film similar to Lu Sha's Chain Spear at its edge. Its sharpness was nearly comparable to that of the Tear Star battle axe.
Nars chose to install such a razor-sharp blade on a weapon modeled after the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe, a secret weapon of the China sect. Liu Xuan had introduced this to him because Nars's close combat style thrived on unpredictability and impressive martial arts prowess, making it perfectly suited for the combat characteristics of the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe. Unlike other long weapons, this axe was designed for close quarters, significantly enhancing the lethality of punches and kicks—making it an ideal fit for Nars.
By the time Godslayer reacted, a large piece of his battle armor had already been stripped away by Blue Face Hero's Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe, exposing his light green skin. At that moment, he couldn't help but admire Nars's reflexes; he had managed to counterattack while dodging. Nars was indeed fighting him with everything he had.
What followed was a one-sided suppression by Blue Face Hero against Godslayer. The Tear Star battle axe was too cumbersome for Godslayer to wield effectively at such close range; instead of being an asset, it became a burden as Blue Face Hero closed in on him. This distance was perfect for Blue Face Hero to unleash his close combat skills!
Every punch from Blue Face Hero was enhanced by the blade of the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe, easily piercing through Godslayer's armor and into his flesh. Under such relentless close-range attacks, Godslayer found himself unable to utilize the Tear Star battle axe effectively and could only endure as Blue Face Hero’s fists and knees rained down upon him. He staggered back, clearly outmatched.
"Ha!" With a sharp whistle, Blue Face Hero summoned metallic spikes to his elbows and struck Godslayer’s abdominal armor with a powerful elbow strike. Finally, he unleashed an uppercut filled with all his might; accompanied by a fierce whistle, the cold light of the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe flashed as its blade pierced into Godslayer’s jaw and then slashed open—a spray of blood erupted forth! Godslayer's jaw was cut open by Blue Face Hero's axe, causing him to collapse.
"Liu Xuan, report on Tianchuang Gloves' charging progress!"
"78% charged!"
Seeing Godslayer fall was the perfect opportunity to finish him off; however, Tianchuang Gloves had not yet recovered from excessive use in the Pacific battlefield. Although the Mother-and-Child Yan-Yang Axe was sharp enough, its short range could give Godslayer a chance to retaliate. Considering various factors and lacking a sufficiently lethal weapon, Nars thought of Storm Armor—the equipment designed to enhance leg strength!
The Time-Space Equipment Library appeared suddenly around his legs as Storm Armor quickly assembled itself. Blue Face Hero leaped into the air and executed a stunning 720-degree spin before extending his right leg downward like a meteor crashing from Mount Tai! The iron armor of Storm Armor roared to life as it trailed blue flames in mid-air alongside Blue Face Hero's descending kick—he aimed to use Storm Armor’s power to shatter the severely injured Godslayer!
However, just as Blue Face Hero's calf was about to make contact with Godslayer, something unexpected happened.
In an instant, he felt an intense gust of wind surge around him; this wind was so powerful that it actually lifted Blue Face Hero off his trajectory! Rather than mere wind, it felt more like a shockwave from an explosion that sent him flying away!
"Ugh!" His rhythm completely disrupted, Blue Face Hero crashed onto the ground after being blown away by this overwhelming force. In his peripheral vision, he caught sight of an energy wave passing by—an emerald storm.
After rolling several times, Blue Face Hero knelt on one knee and looked up; Godslayer had already regained his footing. Although blood dripped from his jaw wound, it was healing rapidly—at a speed rivaling Lu Sha! Meanwhile, his Tear Star battle axe floated beside him as if it possessed its own willpower—following Godslayer as he approached Blue Face Hero slowly. No matter how clever Blue Face Hero thought himself to be, he never anticipated such a move: Godslayer’s axe was also a supernatural entity with its own consciousness; when its master faced deadly danger, it would act autonomously to protect him!
"You are quite impressive, Nars," Ban Sa said as he opened his hand wide. The Tear Star battle axe obediently flew into his grasp. "Every step of your strategy has impressed me; unfortunately, you are still too young."
Blue Face Hero attempted to rise but found himself engulfed in a numbing sensation—Tear Star’s energy wave contained neurotoxic properties; Fierce Eagle had just fallen victim to this very attack—though Blue Face Hero’s experience was significantly milder. He could only watch helplessly as Godslayer approached him and raised his axe high above his head before bringing it down...
