The flight attendant in business class noticed her arms crossed over her chest and her slightly furrowed brows, and she approached with concern.
"Is everything alright? May I bring you a blanket?"
"It's nothing, just a blanket, please. Thank you."
Chimu Jiu shook her head to indicate she was fine. She couldn't possibly tell the flight attendant that she was missing a man, could she? That would be ridiculous.
"Of course, please wait a moment."
With a professional smile, the flight attendant bowed slightly and turned to leave, quickly returning with a thin blanket to cover Chimu Jiu.
Then, the flight attendant gently inquired of a formally dressed man sitting nearby.
"Mr. Ye, would you like coffee or tea?"
"Black coffee, no sugar, thank you."
The man’s fair fingers tapped rapidly on the keyboard as he spoke, his peach blossom eyes focused intently on the computer screen beneath his gold-rimmed glasses, serious and dedicated.
"Alright."
The flight attendant responded softly, careful not to disturb Mr. Ye as he worked.
"Mr. Ye? What a coincidence," Chimu Jiu thought to herself as she closed her eyes.
She turned her head slightly to glance at Mr. Ye's position. He sat upright in his tailored suit, his features strong yet gentle, with lines that seemed meticulously sculpted—every contour perfectly defined.
His high nose resembled a mountain range, adding depth to his facial profile. Most striking was the pair of gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose, lending him an air of scholarly elegance. He exuded a subtle charm that was both reserved and captivating.
He was indeed handsome.
However, compared to Du Hengyan, he still fell short.
Chimu Jiu silently compared them in her mind before returning her gaze and preparing to drift off again.
At that moment, she felt a wave of warmth beneath her, followed by a familiar sharp pain.
"Ah!"
She couldn't help but curse softly as she curled up tighter. The pain felt like sharp needles stabbing at her abdomen repeatedly.
Beside her, Ye Jue seemed to be drawn by the sound. He adjusted his glasses and turned his head to look at Chimu Jiu.
"Miss, are you alright?"
"I'm fine."
Chimu Jiu winced, unable to speak due to the pain.
Ye Jue, feeling concerned, immediately got up and approached her to check on her condition. He saw her curled up, hands clutching her abdomen, her face clearly showing discomfort.
At that moment, a flight attendant entered the business class cabin again, carrying coffee. Upon seeing the curled-up Chimu Jiu, she quickly realized it was likely due to menstrual cramps.
After carefully placing the coffee down, the flight attendant whispered a few words into her earpiece. Within a minute, another crew member hurried in with hot water and pain relief medication in hand.
Ye Jue paused for a moment, as if understanding the situation. He quietly returned to his seat but kept his gaze on Chimu Jiu. He watched as she took the medication and drank the water, and once her complexion improved slightly, he finally averted his eyes.
"Excuse me, Mr. Ye. This lady is unwell; would you mind if we raised the air conditioning temperature a bit?"
The flight attendant spoke softly and politely, wearing a smile that was both courteous and slightly apologetic.
"Sure."
Ye Jue had never seen a girl in such pain during her period that her face lost all color. A hint of sympathy unconsciously flickered in his eyes as he glanced at Chimu Jiu again before nodding in agreement.
"Thank you, Mr. Ye. I apologize for the disturbance."
The flight attendant bowed slightly, her face filled with gratitude. After expressing a few words of concern to Chimu Jiu, she quietly exited the cabin, trying not to make any noise that might disturb the passengers.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Ye."
Chimu Jiu called out to him from her seat.
"It's nothing; girls should take care of their health, especially someone as beautiful as you."
Though Ye Jue didn't look up at Chimu Jiu, his fingers paused on the keyboard for a few seconds.
Then he spoke again: "Are you flying back from some country?"
"Yes. What about you?"
Chimu Jiu replied, feeling somewhat better now and her tone noticeably lighter as they began to chat casually with each other.
"Yes, I am going to see a relative."
A hint of warmth flickered in Ye Jue's eyes, and her movements slowed as she spoke.
"I'm going on vacation."
Chi Mu Jiu's lips curled slightly, as if reminiscing about the wonderful times spent on vacation.
"May I ask your name, Miss?"
Ye Jue turned her head to look in her direction.
"Chi Mu Jiu."
"Ye Jue."
The two exchanged smiles, seemingly aware of each other's identities.
