"Which car do you want to take?"
"That one."
Chimu Jiu pointed to a sedan parked at the far end.
Du Hengyan followed her finger and saw a small sports car quietly resting in the corner. In the vast underground garage, it appeared so ordinary, the least expensive vehicle among all the luxury cars surrounding it.
Du Hengyan's gaze darkened slightly. To be honest, someone like him, accustomed to luxury and prestige, had never driven such a cheap car before. However, despite its lack of grandeur compared to the other lavish vehicles in the garage, it was still a Mercedes-Benz.
"Where to?"
He adjusted his tall frame to fit into the cramped driver's seat and asked Chimu Jiu in a low voice from the passenger side. The compact car felt quite constricting for someone with his build, making the space rather unfriendly.
Chimu Jiu watched him struggle slightly and suppressed a laugh. "Let's go shopping; just follow the navigation."
"Okay."
Du Hengyan replied and then reminded her, "Buckle your seatbelt."
"Sure."
As the engine roared to life, the car slowly started moving. Du Hengyan skillfully maneuvered the steering wheel, guiding the vehicle smoothly toward the garage exit.
The lights in the underground garage flickered across the car's body, creating flowing patterns of light and shadow. The tires made a faint sound as they rolled against the ground while Chimu Jiu sat beside him, humming a cheerful tune.
Once they drove out of the underground garage, sunlight flooded into the car, and it sped away like an arrow into the bustling streets.
"We've arrived at our destination."
As the navigation alert chimed, the car came to a steady stop in the commercial district's parking area. The entire maneuver was seamless, without any hint of hesitation.
"Your driving skills are impressive!"
Late Mu Jiu unconsciously boasted.
Du Hengyan raised an eyebrow, a hint of arrogance playing on his face. "There are many areas where my skills excel."
Late Mu Jiu was momentarily speechless at his words.
"Come on." Du Hengyan closed the car door, walked around to Late Mu Jiu's side, and casually took her bag.
Isn't this just the perfect boyfriend?! Late Mu Jiu felt her heart racing with excitement, nearly bursting with joy from within.
The two walked side by side, with Du Hengyan's tall and upright figure, his extraordinary looks, and the innate powerful aura he exuded drawing the attention of many passersby.
Those gazes were filled with admiration, curiosity, and envy.
Du Hengyan felt somewhat uncomfortable under the scrutiny; the tension in his brow deepened slightly, as if warning those overly eager stares not to be too audacious.
Late Mu Jiu noticed the change in his expression and boldly linked her arm through his strong one, a charming smile lighting up her face. "Now, I’ve also become a noteworthy presence."
Du Hengyan’s mood lifted at her teasing remark, and the taut lines of his face gradually softened.
At this distance, he could clearly catch the faint, unique fragrance emanating from her.
The two strolled hand in hand into a high-end bespoke menswear store.
"Welcome!" The receptionist greeted them warmly, though they were unfamiliar faces. However, their attire and appearance suggested they were not short on money—especially the tall man who towered over her by nearly half a head; his looks and physique were truly exceptional.
With sculpted features, deep-set eyes, a prominent nose bridge, broad shoulders, and a toned waist, every line of his body seemed like a masterpiece meticulously crafted.
It was the first time any of the sales staff had seen such a striking man, leaving several of them momentarily dazed.
"Bring out all the clothes he can try on from your store. If you don’t have them, custom orders will do," Late Mu Jiu stated directly to the three sales associates who approached to offer assistance.
