He answered seriously, "Love."
The driver in front, hearing this question and answer, felt his face flush with embarrassment, yet he dared not make a sound, silently continuing to drive.
"Have you answered me? What time is it?"
With the scent of alcohol lingering around her, Chi Mu Jiu reached out, her gaze hazy, to grab the phone that Du Cheng Yan had placed beside him.
Her movements were unsteady, swaying slightly.
Du Cheng Yan was afraid she might hurt herself and quickly reached out to stop her, not daring to let her move too much.
But the more he tried to hold her back, the more she insisted on moving, like a stubborn little child.
"It's out of battery, sweetheart," he gently coaxed her, his tone filled with affection.
"I don't believe you! Show me!" Chi Mu Jiu insisted.
Du Cheng Yan handed her the phone.
After fiddling with it for a while, she found that the screen was black.
It seemed it really was out of battery.
Disappointed, she pouted, finally quieting down for a moment as she nestled in his arms.
But it wasn't long before she started mumbling again.
"Du Cheng Yan," she said softly, with a hint of a pout in her voice.
"Kiss me."
She suddenly said, her tone filled with anticipation.
Du Cheng Yan immediately lowered his head to kiss the little beauty in his arms.
But this time, it was Chi Mu Jiu who took control of the kiss.
Her nimble little tongue, sweet and tinged with the scent of red wine, boldly explored him.
Du Hengyan was momentarily taken aback by her boldness in taking control, not expecting her to be so daring after drinking. However, he quickly lost himself in the sweetness of the kiss, savoring this rare moment.
“Mmm…” Chi Mu Jiu let out a soft hum, leaning in for another kiss.
“More,” her voice was muffled, but Du Hengyan understood her meaning.
He lowered his head again, kissing her deeply as if the entire world had faded away, leaving only the two of them.
“Be good, there are others in the car. Keep your hands still,” he whispered.
“This is fine; this part isn’t. You can touch me later,” she replied playfully.
The air inside the car was thick with affection.
“Baby, we’re home,” Du Hengyan said softly as he coaxed her while carrying her out of the car.
“Phone… charging…” she mumbled, and Du Hengyan realized she was still clutching his phone tightly in her hand.
With a hint of helplessness, he allowed her to keep it and quickened his pace.
In the villa area, the brothers chatting outside noticed their boss carrying his wife out of the car and assumed something must have happened.
“Boss, what’s wrong with Madam?” one of them asked.
“It’s nothing. She just didn’t listen and had a few too many drinks,” Du Hengyan replied teasingly, though his eyes were filled with tenderness.
Hearing Du Hengyan say that about her, Chi Mu Jiu wanted to retort, but when she looked up and saw a crowd gathered in front of them, she decided against it.
“Forget it; if I’m embarrassed, I’m embarrassed,” she thought as she buried her face into Du Hengyan’s chest, letting her hair fall to cover the flushed half of her face.
Du Hengyan knew she was shy.
I sent her off to rest, and I made it clear: don’t call unless it’s urgent, and even then, don’t call!
“Understood, Boss! Even if something comes up, we’ll carry Seventh Master back from the hospital to maintain the overall situation!”
The group replied with a mix of seriousness and playful banter.
(In the hospital, Ye Qi sneezed, completely unaware that his brothers had their eyes on him.)
