The beautiful woman gently leaned into his embrace, and Du Hengyan disdainfully wrapped his arm around her shoulder. His deep, indifferent gaze flicked toward the foreign man just one room away. At that moment, the fierce-looking foreign man was also scrutinizing Du Hengyan, his eyes sharp like an eagle's.
When their eyes met, the foreign man's expression noticeably softened, losing the earlier intensity as if he were being overshadowed by Du Hengyan's imposing presence. Du Hengyan casually averted his gaze, as if the man were not worth his attention at all.
Meanwhile, the foreign man was quite taken aback. "Is that the boss Du in the next room?" he asked.
"Yes, it is," Mo Bogsang replied quickly after glancing at Du Hengyan.
A flicker of excitement passed through the foreign man's eyes, and a subtle smile crept onto his lips, revealing a knowing expression. "They say Boss Du is not fond of women; I beg to differ. This girl beside him is quite lovely."
"Sir, you—" Mo Bogsang was about to say something when the foreign man's demeanor shifted to anger, prompting him to immediately close his mouth.
At that moment, two foreign beauties in the gambling house seemed to understand the man's intentions. One seductively sat on his lap, her body swaying enticingly, while the other boldly knelt before him and made a daring move.
This scene stirred a surge of excitement in Mo Bogsang and another middle-aged man who watched from a distance. Other patrons in the gambling house also noticed the commotion, casting curious, surprised, and even disdainful glances in their direction. Yet no one dared to speak up; after all, in such a setting, no one wanted to offend anyone easily.
"Don't be afraid; just pat your head. It's just an ugly brute," Du Hengyan gently reassured her with a soft voice as he patted her shoulder.
With a trembling voice, Zhi Mu Jiu asked, "Is he from your department?"
Chimu Jiu was filled with curiosity, wanting to take another glance in that direction, but Du Hengyan covered her eyes.
"Not now, be good," he said, his tone serious and unyielding.
Though Chimu Jiu didn't understand why, she obediently complied.
Du Hengyan turned and shouted toward the doorway, "Ling Yun!"
Hearing the call, Ling Yun immediately opened the door and came in to check the situation.
She saw Du Hengyan's face filled with anger.
"Go tell the people next door that if they can't manage their own things, I won't hesitate to have someone cut them off and feed them to the dogs!"
Du Hengyan shouted at Ling Yun, his voice dark and frightening as he kept his hand over Chimu Jiu's eyes.
Ling Yun looked up and saw that the scene was indeed unbearable; her face turned pale and flushed in succession as she quickly replied, "Yes, Boss Du, I'll send someone right away."
In less than a minute, someone from the department came in.
Ling Yun sighed inwardly; Boss Du was always ruthless, and it seemed the department was in for some trouble.
Meanwhile, Chimu Jiu, with her eyes covered, grew more curious about what had happened but remained quietly waiting for Du Hengyan's next instruction.
After whispering a few words to the person beside him, the expression of enjoyment on the department head's face vanished without a trace, replaced by one of utter disinterest.
He seemed reluctant but pressed down on the woman beneath him before finally letting go with a huff.
The gambling house gradually returned to calmness, and only then did Du Hengyan remove his hand from Chimu Jiu's eyes.
As he released her, he noticed that her beautiful eyes were slightly closed, her long eyelashes fluttering gently.
"Can I open my eyes now?" Chimu Jiu asked softly, her voice tinged with caution.
"Yes, my dear," Du Hengyan replied tenderly.
After receiving the promise, Chi Mu Jiu slowly opened her eyes.
The light returned to her surroundings, and her gaze involuntarily drifted toward Ke Li. She saw the man still sitting there, but the intense killing intent that had surrounded him had diminished significantly, and he no longer exuded the same arrogance as before.
She had already called him an ugly monster; why was she still looking at him?
Du Heng felt a sense of annoyance and dissatisfaction in his tone.
