It seems the brothers' idea from yesterday was quite useful. The thought of being able to help the boss and his wife's relationship is like catching a shark—just go for it!
On the deck, dozens of brothers were eagerly preparing, taking turns to dive into the sea to catch fish. The weather was particularly nice, with sunlight glistening on the water's surface, creating a sparkling effect. On such a day, going out to sea posed little danger. And for the subordinates trained by Du Hengyan, there was even less to worry about. Each of them was battle-hardened and an excellent swimmer.
Although he felt no concern in his heart, Du Hengyan still prudently instructed the control room to reduce the ship's speed. After all, no matter how good their swimming skills were, they couldn't compare to a cruise ship.
"Boss, please have a seat."
On the deck, his subordinates quickly set up a sunshade for Du Hengyan. He sat comfortably beneath it, crossing his legs and exuding an imposing aura. He thought about lighting a cigarette and raised his hand slightly to signal for one but immediately withdrew the gesture.
"Boss, do you want to smoke?" One of his sharp-eyed subordinates had already offered him a cigarette.
"Can I smoke you instead?" Du Hengyan growled lowly, irritated by the lack of awareness.
"You go first; dive into the sea. If you don't catch any sharks, I'll whip you!"
Du Hengyan had a vivid memory of this particular subordinate—the one who had suggested those ridiculous ideas twice before. He suspected that the whip was also part of this subordinate's plan.
"Boss, you can't—"
Before he could finish his sentence, he was forcibly dragged into the sea by other subordinates. The first group of divers had already returned, each holding fish in their hands.
Red, green, and blue—such a sight to behold.
They all knew the shark was a fake; the boss was just trying to assert his authority. As long as they could hand over a fish, that was all that mattered.
"I caught it! Boss!"
One of the subordinates, just back from the sea, shouted excitedly while holding a small shark.
Everyone looked on in surprise.
"Come on, buddy, don't be so intense!" someone teased.
"You must have been the teacher's favorite in math class!" another chimed in. "Are you preparing for an exam?"
The banter flowed freely, filling the air with laughter and camaraderie.
Du Hengyan found it tiresome; these people were just too chatty with everyone.
While everyone was engaged in their playful exchanges, one subordinate changing equipment casually glanced toward another area.
There came Ze Jin, accompanied by several female attendants carrying a fruit platter as they approached.
The women moved gracefully, their steps light.
The man was also someone of note, with several bruises visible on his face.
Du Hengyan had actually noticed him long before.
He had little interest in Ze Jin. The attempts to catch his precious wife's attention with petty tricks and schemes were beneath him.
Throwing him into the sea to feed the fish would be too much for his wife to handle. Keeping him locked up with torture devices would only make her think he was being petty.
So it was better to leave him on the ship and have him do more work.
As the fruit platter was placed on the table beside him and Ze Jin prepared to leave, Du Hengyan raised his gaze, an overwhelming pressure radiating from him directly toward Ze Jin.
Du Hengyan uttered two words softly, "Stop."
Zhe Jin's body stiffened for a moment; he knew that Du Hengyan was calling him.
"Stay here, everyone else step back."
Du Hengyan withdrew his gaze, and the overwhelming pressure and hostility emanating from him made Zhe Jin afraid to even breathe. The man sitting there was terrifying; just a single glance from him sent shivers down Zhe Jin's spine.
Meanwhile, the brothers around them were busy with their own tasks—some were drying their hair, others were changing their gear. Out of the corner of his eye, Zhe Jin could see that everyone was watching him.
The sea continued to surge quietly, and the sunlight shone brilliantly on the deck, yet an indescribable tension hung in the air.
