Du Hengyan furrowed his brows and asked with concern. Behind him, his subordinates quickly fetched a medical kit. As she got out of bed, she stumbled and lost her balance.
"It's alright," she replied softly.
"You've worked hard, my lady," Du Hengyan said, his eyes filled with tenderness. He carefully cleaned her wounds, afraid of causing her pain.
Chimu Jiu sat on his lap, quietly watching as Du Hengyan disinfected and applied medicine to her injuries. Not far away, Ze Jin turned his head away, unwilling to witness the affectionate scene between the two. The woman who had saved him from peril had truly found someone she cared for.
"Does it still hurt?" he asked, his brow tightly knit as he gently blew on her wound.
"It's fine now," Chimu Jiu whispered near his ear. "If you could just stop putting me through so much trouble, I wouldn't be stumbling around like this."
Hearing her words, Du Hengyan's frown eased a bit. His lady still had the spirit to joke, which meant it wasn't too serious after all.
"Let them all come up; there's no need to fuss over me. I actually quite enjoyed the game we played last night," Chimu Jiu said, her tone shifting slightly as a hint of nostalgia flickered in her beautiful eyes. She knew that it must have been Du Hengyan's subordinates who suggested that idea to him. The binding game didn’t seem like something Du Hengyan would come up with on his own.
"Alright, I will certainly listen to my lady's wishes."
Du Hengyan waved his hand, and the subordinates nearby immediately scattered to relay the orders.

A few subordinates exchanged glances and then reluctantly took Ze Jin away.

"After that, the Madam should stay in the gambling area. I still have some matters to handle; we've won quite a lot of good things at the underground gambling den that need sorting out."
Chimu Jiu nodded. Winning at the underground gambling den was not just about money; it also involved power. Although Du Hengyan was not truly involved in the underworld, he had to personally handle these matters to maintain the current situation.

At that moment, the beautiful woman's phone, which had fallen to the corner of the bed, vibrated incessantly. The screen displayed a series of missed calls.
