The day after the snack secret base was raided, Du Hengyan received another secret mission.
The beautiful girl in bed had already woken up. She remained still, listening to the sounds in the room, when a gentle kiss landed on her forehead.
The door closed softly behind him.
In the next moment, Chi Mujiu opened her eyes.
Was he already out of the gambling area?
"Yes, Madam. The convoy is already on its way to the mission location."
The subordinate's response eased Chi Mujiu's tension slightly. She decided to observe a little longer to ensure everything was foolproof.
Standing on the rooftop of the top floor, Chi Mujiu watched as Du Hengyan led a large group onto the vehicles. The imposing convoy gradually moved away, and her heart began to settle.
Today was the day Du Hengyan was delivering goods. For Chi Mujiu, it was also the day she would collect her items.
She had meticulously planned this operation solely to rebuild her snack base.
As soon as Du Hengyan stepped out, Chi Mujiu quickly got out of bed. She listened quietly for a moment to the sounds in the living room and confirmed there were no disturbances. Just then, a message popped up on her phone:
[The boss has entered the gambling area.]
Only then did Chi Mujiu rush to the rooftop to observe Du Hengyan's convoy through the telescope.
"Madam, the boss has gone far; even if he returns, it will take at least an hour."
Another report came through her phone from her brother.
With that, Chi Mujiu finally felt at ease. "Notify the brothers; I'm on my way to collect the goods."
After hanging up the phone and tidying up, Chi Mu Jiu waited at home for ten minutes, confirming that Du Heng Yan had not arrived before she felt relieved enough to head to the meeting place.
The base had been destroyed yesterday, and it would be a lie to say she wasn't upset; everything was for the sake of today's transaction. Du Heng Yan had already swept through once, and he would surely let his guard down recently. He definitely wouldn't expect that she would start rebuilding her snack base again today.
The transaction location was at the villa where her brothers lived. She heard that the lady had a fierce battle with the boss last night. As soon as she entered, several brothers saw Chi Mu Jiu and laughed.
Chi Mu Jiu shook her head helplessly. "Don't mention it; your boss really showed no mercy. Not only did he win yesterday, but even what was hidden before has been confiscated."
She sat down on the sofa and accepted the water that her brothers had poured for her earlier. "As long as the green mountains remain, one need not worry about firewood."
The group of brothers today was not the same ones who had gambled with her in the gaming area yesterday. She was smart enough not to pull in a group of brothers to do something that would get them punished twice.
"Have all the goods been brought?" Chi Mu Jiu asked while casually opening a bag of chips and eating them, her legs crossed in a relaxed manner.
Upon hearing her question, the brothers exchanged glances and replied in unison, "Yes, except for that one you specifically asked for."
Chi Mu Jiu frowned slightly at their words, clicking her tongue in disappointment before letting out a long sigh. With a hint of resignation and regret in her tone, she said, "Forget it; just bring me what you have."
As soon as Chi Mu Jiu finished speaking, the brothers began piling the snacks they had brought onto the table, visibly relieved as if they could finally take a breath and retreat.
Just as they were preparing to leave, the door to the room was suddenly pushed open. Du Heng Yan stood at the doorway, his tall figure overshadowing the entire frame. His gaze was cold and deep, making it impossible to ignore his presence.
With an expressionless face, he surveyed everything in the room before finally locking his eyes on Chi Mu Jiu.
"Madam, I heard you've received another shipment?"
Du Hengyan's deep voice lingered in the air, carrying a hint of barely concealed displeasure.
Chi Mujiu's heart skipped a beat as she immediately straightened up, nervously looking at Du Hengyan and stammering, "N-no, I haven't."
Du Hengyan let out a cold laugh and strode over to her, effortlessly lifting her from the sofa in one swift motion.
Before Chi Mujiu could react, she found herself in his arms.
Carrying her out of the room, Du Hengyan turned his head slightly to his brothers behind him and said, "You all can leave; I'll handle the rest."
His brothers exchanged glances, their expressions revealing a mix of surprise and amusement, before they quickly disappeared from sight.

Du Hengyan's gaze fell on the crumbs of chips lingering at the corner of her mouth, finding this little beauty both adorable and infuriating.
