Anna and Lisa returned to Saint Mary's University, only to find that the campus had changed beyond recognition. They knew that in order to survive here, they would need to rely on their wits and courage. They decided to first find a relatively safe place to use as a base, and then search for resources.
"We must find a safe place to settle down and then look for resources," said Anna, as she looked around, trying to find a temporary shelter.
"The top floor of the main teaching building might be a good choice. The high vantage point provides a broad view and can prevent zombie attacks," suggested Lisa.
"Good idea, let's go there first," Anna nodded, and they quickly headed towards the main teaching building.
During the process of crossing the campus, Anna and Lisa noticed many zombies wandering around the campus. Unlike regular zombies, these zombies clearly had some kind of mutation; their eyes were flashing with an eerie light, and their movements were faster. They carefully avoided these zombies, trying not to make any noise.
"These zombies look even scarier," Lisa said in a low voice, a hint of fear flashing in her eyes.
"We must be more careful," Anna responded. They quickened their pace and finally arrived at the main teaching building.
Three
They quickly climbed to the top floor and found a classroom that could be locked. Inside, there were some desks and chairs piled up. They stacked these pieces of furniture at the door, creating a temporary barrier. Through the window, they could see the entire campus, making it easy to observe the zombies' movements.
"It's safe here for now. We need to start looking for resources," said Anna, knowing that survival was the most important.
Four
They decided to split up. Anna would go to the medical room to look for medical supplies, while Lisa would go to the cafeteria to find food and water. They agreed to meet in the top floor classroom.
Anna cautiously made her way to the medical room, trying to avoid the gaze of the zombies along the way. She remembered that the medical room was on the ground floor of the main building, where there might still be some first aid supplies. When she reached the door of the medical room, she found it locked. She pushed hard and entered the medical room, quickly searching for supplies.
She found some bandages, disinfectant, and painkillers, which were crucial for their survival. Just as she was about to leave, she suddenly heard a low, menacing growl behind her.
Anna turned around and found a zombie rushing towards her. She quickly hid in the storage cabinet of the infirmary, holding her breath, waiting for the zombie to leave. After a few minutes, the zombie seemed to lose its target and left the infirmary.
"I have to be more careful," Anna muttered to herself, then quickly returned to the top floor classroom.

At the same time, Lisa also encountered a challenge in the cafeteria. The cafeteria was filled with scattered food residues and broken tableware, apparently having experienced a fierce battle. She cautiously entered the cafeteria, searching for any usable food and water source.
She found some canned food and bottled water, but also discovered several zombies lurking at the end of the cafeteria. Lisa knew she had to leave quietly, or else it would attract more trouble.
She collected the food stealthily and quickly left the cafeteria. When she returned to the top floor classroom, she saw Anna waiting for her there, and she breathed a sigh of relief.
"We got these," Lisa showed the food and water she found.
"Good, I also found some first aid supplies," Anna responded. They pooled their resources together and began planning their next move.
Six
In the following days, Anna and Lisa began to gradually explore the campus and search for more resources. They discovered that the school not only had regular zombies, but also some mutated zombies. These zombies had eerie glowing eyes and moved more quickly, so they tried to avoid them whenever possible.
One day, they found some research materials about the zombie virus in the library. The materials mentioned that the virus seemed to have a special way of mutating, which could make zombies stronger and more difficult to deal with.
"Perhaps these materials can help us better understand the zombie virus," said Anna, as she flipped through the documents, trying to find useful information.
"We need to find more clues to know how to deal with these mutant zombies," Lisa responded, and they decided to further explore the campus.
Seven
In the basement of the laboratory building, they discovered a hidden lab. The lab was filled with various high-tech equipment and vials of reagents, clearly a secret research base. Anna and Lisa cautiously entered and found some experimental records about the mutant zombies.
"These mutated zombies are caused by some kind of special virus," Anna read the experimental records, feeling like she was getting closer to the truth.
"Perhaps we can find a way to suppress this virus," Lisa suggested, as they continued to search the laboratory, hoping to find more clues.
Just as they delved deeper into the laboratory, they suddenly heard a series of urgent footsteps. They quickly hid to the side and discovered a group of mutated zombies heading in their direction. These zombies were more agile than regular zombies, clearly more dangerous.
"We need to get out of here," Anna said in a low voice. They quickly retreated and hid back in the top floor classroom.
