He didn’t want to look; after all, having his wife in his arms was more intoxicating than anything else.
As she entered the password, the phone unlocked with a beep. Le Xinyuan swiftly opened the contacts and dialed a number Ye Qi frequently called.
After three rings, a disinterested voice came from the other end.
“What is it?”
"Boss Du, it's Lexin Yan."
Du Hengyan's interest piqued at the sound of Lexin's voice. "Hmm, what can I do for you?"
"Ye Qi is next to me, and I hope Boss Du can sign my dispatch request."
"Got it. Is there anything else?"
"No, thank you, Boss Du."
"You're welcome. I look forward to you and your husband continuing our collaboration in my gaming area."
With that, Du Hengyan hung up the phone.
Ye Qi was surprised that Lexin was calling Du Hengyan from her own phone. "Your boss is interested; it won't work if you're not."
Lexin tucked her phone into his coat pocket. "How do you know I'm not interested?"
Ye Qi chuckled and reached up to wipe away a stray thread from the corner of her lips. "Did you not just say you weren't interested?"
Instinctively, Lexin leaned back, but Ye Qi quickly shielded her to prevent her head from hitting the car window.
"It's all just a game of feigned indifference, Xinxin."
