I hung up the phone, humming a little tune as I walked to the cloakroom. The space was adorned with high-end gowns, limited edition handbags, and dazzling jewelry, and my gaze sharpened.
These were all gifts from Xi Qishen over the past few days.
I casually picked out a fiery red slip dress, paired it with a champagne-colored cocktail dress adorned with diamonds, and slipped on a pair of high heels. By evening, Xi Qishen's car arrived punctually at the hotel entrance.
I appeared right on time at the upscale restaurant he had reserved.

"You seem to really like luxury items," Xi Qishen asked tentatively.
I shrugged innocently. "Who doesn't like beautiful things?"
After a brief silence, Xi Qishen's gaze shifted toward me. "I heard the foie gras here is particularly delicious." I casually remarked while flipping through the menu.
"As long as you like it," he replied in a calm tone, though a complex emotion flickered in his eyes.
After placing our orders, I picked up the champagne on the table and gently swirled it in my glass.
I noticed the change in his expression and felt a surge of satisfaction. It seemed my plan was working.
Today, he wore a dark suit that made him appear more mature and composed, adding an air of mystery about him.
In the private room of the upscale restaurant that evening, I deliberately wore the diamond necklace worth millions, swaying it in front of Xi Qishen.
"Honey, do you think this necklace is beautiful?" I blinked at him with eager anticipation.
Following my gaze, Xi Qishen frowned slightly as he looked at the necklace.
His eyes lingered on it, deep and contemplative. "It's very beautiful."
"Do you like it?" I pressed on.
Xi Qishen picked up the red wine from the table and gently swirled it. "I like it."
I extended my hand, took off the necklace, and placed it into Xi Qishen's palm.
Outside the restaurant, the night was as dark as ink, with a gentle breeze blowing.
I nodded, my eyes sparkling. "As long as you like it, I'm willing to give you anything."
Xi Qishen fastened the necklace around my neck again, his fingers lightly caressing my skin as he spoke in a low tone before walking away.
"System, what is Xi Qishen's favorability level now?" I silently asked in my mind.
"The target, Xi Qishen, has a favorability level of 85% towards the host."
It seemed that my "materialistic" behavior had instead sparked his desire to conquer.
"System... this... this..." The system's voice was intermittent, as if it might crash at any moment. "This... deviates... from the forced love... trajectory..."
"Don't worry, everything is under my control," I said confidently, a glint of cunning flashing in my eyes.
I picked up my wine glass and gently swirled it. The ruby-red liquid shimmered under the light, reflecting my current mood—full of anticipation and excitement. I took a sip of the red wine and focused my gaze on Xi Qishen.
My eyes traced the outline of his shirt collar, casting a seductive glance. "This necklace is really beautiful. Thank you, Qishen."
He ran his fingertip along the back of my hand, his voice deep and husky. "I'm glad you like it." He paused for a moment before adding, "As long as it's what you want, I'll give you anything."
