"Let her go—"
Ling Yunran burst into Yu Lingwei's room, where Yu Lingwei was leisurely trimming her nails. Without looking up, she replied nonchalantly, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Yu Lingwei! Did you kidnap her?" Ling Yunran's voice suddenly rose, revealing his barely concealed anxiety and anger.
Yu Xue had mysteriously disappeared, and all her personal belongings remained untouched at home. The signs indicated that something terrible had happened to her.
Yu Lingwei scoffed, raising her eyes in mockery. "Why are you in such a hurry? Are you worried?"
Ling Yunran closed his eyes in despair, pain etched on his face. "Xiao Wei... She is innocent; we shouldn't..."
"Innocent? There are plenty of innocent people out there! Ling Yunran, you can't possibly be in love with her, can you?" Yu Lingwei glared at him, her eyes blazing with fury.
"I... I’m not..." Ling Yunran's guilt was evident, almost making it worse.
Yu Lingwei was not surprised by his reaction. After a long silence, she slowly spoke, "It was me; I kidnapped her. But I won't tell you where she is. I intend to have some fun torturing her..."
Ling Yunran's hand froze mid-air, and Yu Lingwei stared at him defiantly, certain he wouldn't dare strike her. She couldn't help but chuckle, "I knew you wouldn't be able to do it!"
As she walked to the door, she paused and turned back to the man behind her with a slight smile that carried a chilling undertone. "However, I've discovered something interesting—Yu Xue seems to... be pregnant. I'll just go take care of this little problem for you..."
With that, she slammed the door shut with a loud bang and locked it with a click, ignoring the furious pounding from behind as Ling Yunran's desperate screams echoed through the room.
Yu Lingwei drove to a remote old warehouse in the suburbs. Pushing open the door, she found Yu Xue still unconscious, lying in a corner.
Yu Lingwei crouched down and took out a vial from her bag. Without hesitation, she poured its contents into Yu Xue's mouth. At that moment, her once beautiful face twisted into a particularly sinister expression.
Moments later, Yu Xue slowly regained consciousness, the pain in her abdomen intensifying like relentless waves crashing over her.
She began to roll on the ground in agony, her hands bound by ropes, unable to even cradle her belly for some relief.
Screams of despair echoed throughout the warehouse. Yu Lingwei was startled, her face paling in fear. She hadn’t anticipated that the effects of the abortion pill would be so severe. The vial slipped from her hand and shattered on the floor as she stumbled back in terror.
“It hurts… it hurts so much…” Yu Xue felt a warm liquid continuously flowing between her legs… In an instant, she realized it was the child!
This realization jolted her awake. The overwhelming desire to protect her child filled her with strength, and regardless of who was nearby, she screamed at the top of her lungs, “My child… please save my child… I beg you…” Yu Xue could feel the life of her baby slipping away bit by bit, and she finally broke down in tears.
“Yu Lingwei… Yu Lingwei… why are you harming my child…” Yu Lingwei fought back the urge to vomit and slowly approached her. “How do you know I’m the one harming you?”
Yu Xue forced a pained smile. “Who else would want to kill my child if not you?”
“That’s not necessarily true!”
“What do you mean?” A wave of overwhelming fear surged within Yu Xue, causing her body to tremble uncontrollably. She didn’t know if it was due to physical pain or inner terror. “Is it him? Is it him?! Tell me!”
Seeing Yu Xue’s pitiful and tragic state, Yu Lingwei suddenly found it somewhat amusing. She crouched down closer and said, “What do you think? Do you really think he would allow you to give birth to his child? Let me tell you, this revenge plan was orchestrated by your beloved Yunran himself…”
A thunderous sound echoed in Yu Xue's mind, leaving her in a moment of silence. All she could see was Yu Lingwei's bright red lips moving incessantly, while her heart felt as if it were plummeting into an endless abyss, and her consciousness began to fade away…
As she looked at Yu Xue, bloodied and in a pitiful state, Yu Lingwei should have laughed with glee. Yet, for some reason, a twinge of compassion arose within her. She fumbled for her phone, hesitating for a long moment before finally dialing the number…
In a daze, Yu Xue felt herself being cradled in a warm embrace. A heart-wrenching male voice whispered in her ear, “Yu Xue… Yu Xue… Wake up, Snow…”
Who was this?
Yu Xue had lost too much blood, her face pale as paper. She tried with all her might to open her eyes, but the heavy drowsiness overwhelmed her, and she slipped into unconsciousness…
