“Beibei, if you still want to give it a try, let’s go find elder tree! elder tree lives in the Magical Forest, not far from the witch’s house. People say that elder tree is the oldest tree, with great powers, and might just grant your wish,” Cloud suggested after some thought.
Before long, they arrived, and the sight before them left them speechless. Below stood an ancient tree, whose age was unfathomable, its branches lush and towering into the clouds. Red cloths hung densely from its trunk, resembling a large colorful umbrella. At the base of the tree, a long line of people wound around it, moving slowly.
“Excuse me, is this elder tree? Can he grant my wish?” Beibei curiously asked a fox at the end of the line.
“Hey, don’t worry! You’ve come to the right place for elder tree; he’s very powerful!” The fox spoke with admiration for elder tree.
Before they knew it, dusk was approaching, and Sun Grandpa was about to descend the mountain. Beibei finally met elder tree: “ elder tree, can you grant my wish?”
“Little girl, you should ask around; everyone in this Magical Forest knows about my reputation. Even the famous witch herself acknowledges me; she wouldn’t have come this far without my help,” elder tree replied.
After sipping some rainwater, elder tree continued with feigned sincerity: “Since this is your first visit and you’re the last customer of the day, I’m offering a tearful discount: one wish red cloth, free ink to write your wish, and a super effective wish branch location—all for the original price of 8888 Leaf Coins. But today, I’m feeling generous and will only charge you 5888 Leaf Coins for this unprecedented deal!”
Beibei was taken aback. “But you don’t even know what my wish is! And 5888 Leaf Coins is already enough for my living expenses for half a year!”
“Oh dear girl, you mustn’t think that way. I’m doing this for your own good! What can you do with 5888? If you divide it by 365 days, that’s only 16 coins a day—just enough for a juice! And it can grant your wish. What a bargain!”
“This red cloth hanging on the branch can really grant wishes?” Beibei asked with great skepticism.
“Believe it or not; it’s all about sincerity and calmness...” As elder tree rambled on, Beibei turned around and walked away, causing elder tree ’s expression to darken instantly.

"Beibei, let's move on to the next place! Maybe it has some magic," Cloud said cautiously, smiling. "I know a koi that has really beautiful scales and colors! Many people go to the lake to make wishes and feed it!"
Before long, they arrived at a small lake. Cloud shouted towards the water, "Koi, koi, where are you? I've brought you some customers!"
There was no response from the lake, just an ordinary gray fish swimming leisurely.
"Cloud, what does the koi look like?" Beibei asked absentmindedly, staring at the surface of the water.
"It's all red and white, really plump, with two pairs of whiskers by its mouth. Wait a second," Cloud suddenly exclaimed, pointing at the gray fish in the lake. "That must be the koi! It can't be any other fish that's this fat!"
Hearing Cloud's shout, the gray fish reluctantly poked its head out of the water. Its body slowly transformed into red and white, with striking red patterns appearing on its scales. It sighed helplessly, "You recognized me again."
"Koi, why did you change your color?" Beibei asked curiously.
"Isn't it because of all these wish-makers?" The koi gritted its teeth. "Every day there's a huge crowd of people, making it impossible for me to have a moment of peace. It's driving me crazy."
The koi reminisced about the past days. "And every time people feed me so much food, I have no self-control and eat it all in one go. Over time, I've gotten fatter and fatter. Eventually, I thought this can't go on; I might just burst."
"And then you changed your color?" Beibei continued.
"Sigh, there was no other choice," the koi said sadly.
Cloud whispered, "Let's go, Beibei. We won't disturb the koi any longer."
