Wu Rong said with a hint of frustration, "And what about you? You’re being unreasonable. If I hadn’t rushed back, would you have just disappeared by the time I returned? If I hadn’t come back, would all your half-packed belongings in your room be neatly arranged by now?"
"I should be asking you what you really want. You pretended to be so magnanimous when you let me go, but deep down, you didn’t want me to leave, did you? Just say it! You know I don’t understand those complicated feelings of yours. Why can’t you just tell me directly?"
"What are your worries? Do you want to take advantage of my absence to leave and get rid of me forever? Did I cause you pain? Is it my fault?"
Rao Jie was completely taken aback, but Wu Rong grew increasingly agitated. He stood up abruptly and pulled Rao Jie into an embrace.
"What are you doing?" Rao Jie exclaimed in shock.
"Teaching you a lesson!" Wu Rong's voice trembled slightly, whether from anger or sadness was unclear; it was simply a display of his intense emotions.
Ignoring Rao Jie’s protests, he carried her back to his room. When the light turned on, Rao Jie could see the seriousness etched on Wu Rong’s face—he was genuinely angry.
Before Rao Jie could explain herself, Wu Rong threw her onto the bed and immediately pressed down on her. She felt a sharp pain beneath her; she might have already been injured.
But Wu Rong showed no signs of stopping; it was clear he intended to vent his frustration this way.
Meanwhile, far away in England, he suddenly received news from Ye Ming. It seemed that Rao Jie had applied for a dormitory at school. Ye Ming asked if something was wrong between them.
Wu Rong wanted to know too—what had gone wrong? Why did everything feel off? Rao Jie hadn’t even bothered to inform him. Did this mean she wanted to break up?
Without caring for anyone's objections, Wu Rong rushed out. Upon returning, he found that half of Rao Jie’s belongings were already packed in her room.
Initially skeptical, Wu Rong finally accepted the truth: Rao Jie really intended to move out. She knew how much he dreaded the thought of her leaving, yet she went ahead and did it anyway behind his back.
How could he not be angry?
He bluntly wanted to prove that Rao Jie still belonged to him, so he couldn't help but treat her this way.
"You want to leave? I told you I would have you for a lifetime. How could you possibly leave? The moment you agreed to me, you were trapped. You can never escape; I will never, ever let you go."
Wu Rong, filled with anger, was terrifying, giving Rao Jie no chance to explain as he pinned her down. Rao Jie knew that if she struggled, the consequences would be even worse, but right now, explaining herself to this furious lion was out of the question. The only way was to calm Wu Rong down first.
Rao Jie had tried many ways to soothe Wu Rong's anger before, and it was quite simple. Just as Wu Rong was about to remove her clothes, she suddenly sprang up and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him.
Wu Rong's movements froze instantly. He simply could not resist Rao Jie's proactive approach. Whenever she took the initiative, no matter how angry he was, he would be caught off guard—just like now.
Rao Jie gently extended her tongue, kissing Wu Rong as if she were soothing an angry lion. Her tender kisses and alluring charm indeed softened Wu Rong's fury. Unable to resist the temptation, he began to kiss her back gently and wrapped his arms around her.
