He Xiaoqing abruptly interrupted his self-introduction.
"Mu Beiyao's brother, do you know about A Xing's situation? How is she now? Is she out of danger?" The most urgent concern for a mother is her child's safety! He Xiaoqing had no mood to listen to anything else. Moreover, this trip abroad was simply bizarre; how could she remain calm?

Mu Beiyao was not so gentle; she stood up and grabbed the fabric of Mu Beiming's shirt at the shoulder, a threatening gesture. "What on earth is going on? Tell me everything you know! You know my relationship with Su Xing; I wouldn't mind flying to Western Country again for her!"
"Sister! Can you please calm down? Jing Yu has already gone; he can handle it. Your meddling will only make things worse!"
"Nonsense! Are you saying that the plane has already landed in Western Country but was forced to return due to immigration issues? Do you think I'm lying?"
Mu Beiming felt overwhelmed; why did he have so many adversaries in his life?
"It's not that you're lying, but why not wait for Jing Yu to come back and explain?"
Mu Beiyao raised her hand as if she wanted to hit him!
Suddenly, He Xiaoqing's phone rang. She immediately sat up straight, as if facing a great enemy. Thinking that the number had international roaming, she feared it might be Lawrence calling. In a moment of panic, she stood up but accidentally answered the call.
Before she could step outside to take it, she heard a familiar voice on the other end.
"Mom? It's your little star."
Su Xing's tone was clearly meant to soothe!
He Xiaoqing's heart dropped back into place; it felt like all her strength had left her as she collapsed back into the chair.
"You little rascal, do you know how scared you made me?! Where are you now? Are you in danger? What number is this? Are there others with you? When will you be back? Do you need me to—"
"Mom, mom, I'm fine! Please let me explain first."
"Jing Yu saved me! I'm at his friend's house right now, and this is his phone. He said we should be able to return tomorrow."
He Xiaoqing let out a deep sigh of relief.
"Are you hurt?"
"Not at all! Thanks to my mother's protection, I’ve been treated quite well on this journey."
"In short, even though I was kidnapped, I didn’t suffer much. You can rest assured."
"Then send me a video!" He Xiaoqing insisted, her tone leaving no room for refusal.
Su Xing replied, "Do I need to add Shen Jingyu on WeChat for that?"
"I'll add you later; just accept it."
"Make it quick!"
He Xiaoqing hung up the phone immediately.
Su Xing silently fiddled with Shen Jingyu's phone. She really didn’t want to pry into someone else's privacy. In fact, the messaging app she and Shen Jingyu used was quite old-fashioned, while this newer one was what her mother used. Just yesterday, Shen Jingyu had directly added her as a friend, and she hadn’t even spoken to him yet.
However, when she opened the app, she was surprised to find it remarkably clean; her name was saved as "My Woman."
Looking at that pinned chat and the background photo of herself, Su Xing felt an inexplicable flutter in her heart. Just then, Ms. He sent her a friend request.
With a helpless pout, Su Xing clicked to accept it, and a video call came through immediately.
"Wow, your response time is impressive!"
"Of course! I’m worried! Now put your phone down and stand up so I can see you from head to toe."
Ms. He’s request wasn’t unreasonable. Su Xing complied right away, standing up and spinning around while enduring the soreness in her feet, even performing a little jump for good measure.
"Does your foot still hurt?" Suddenly, Shen Jingyu's voice came from the stairway.
He had just finished showering and was coming downstairs when he caught sight of Su Xing's playful leap.
"Su Xing! What happened to your foot? Are you injured?"
"Are you here just to point out my flaws?" Su Xing was utterly speechless.
There was nothing Shen Jingyu couldn’t understand at this point. He strode over and without saying a word, scooped her up and set her down on the sofa.
The three spectators on the video call witnessed everything clearly.
Su Xing inadvertently caught a whiff of his fresh scent and the alluring sight beneath his slightly open bathrobe, leaving her momentarily at a loss for words.
"I... I need to take a shower too."
Earlier, she had been too tired and her foot hurt too much to seek out the bathroom right away, but she knew she wasn’t just covered in mud and grass; there were also other unpleasant residues from when she had been drenched in water.

Su Xing looked up at Shen Jingyu.
