Without notifying anyone, Su Xing began to undergo comprehensive treatment. The virus that had previously been a mere catalyst and seed within him was now being corroded by a double dose of poison, resulting in such dire consequences.

Shen Jingyu slowly turned to look at He Xiaoqing and coldly replied, "As long as he is fine, I can become whatever he wants me to be at any time!"
He Xiaoqing sighed helplessly. "Arrange for me to see Zhan Ying! I have questions for him!" He insisted on this matter.
Shen Jingyu did not further obstruct him; instead, he called Luo Hao to make arrangements for He Xiaoqing.
Zhan Ying had not yet regained consciousness. The poison had caused his body to appear lifeless, halting vital signs for a period of time. With so many skilled doctors present, they would still be able to help him recover quickly.
During the waiting period, He Xiaoqing meticulously shared everything he knew about Shen Huai Ming and Su Bokan with Shen Jingyu. Part of He Xiaoqing's intention was to comfort the newly appointed son-in-law. There were still many tasks ahead for him! If he truly fell completely here with Su Xing, then the two fathers who had resolutely chosen this path in the past would have no one left to save them.
Shen Jingyu basically sat in the hospital for three days without moving. He Xiaoqing had already visited Zhan Ying. There had been no effective progress on Su Xing's side yet; however, thankfully, they managed to wake him up!

Shen Jingyu remained silent, his expression cold. Su Xing's voice immediately turned sweet, "Have you not bathed for three days? And you haven't shaved? You look so old and disheveled! You smell terrible! But I actually like it! A bit of stubble gives off a manly vibe! Honey, you look handsome again."
Su Xing did his utmost to cheer Shen Jingyu up. After holding back for a long time, Shen Jingyu finally managed to say, "You're still weak; you should talk less!"
"What? Just because I'm not well, you're starting to get annoyed with me? Who do you like then? You can't give me a green hat right after we got married!"
"What about Pei Major? Is he the one who has been sweet-talking you while I couldn't move, making you fall for him?"
Su Xing's question burst in from outside the door, and the two of them—
"Cough, cough! This Major does not accept any unreasonable accusations!" Pei Yufei declared for himself.
Gu Bai added, "My brother! Besides talking to your mother for a bit, he’s been mute for three days. If it weren't for you forcing him to say something just now, we would probably have to take him to check his vocal cords soon—what if he can't speak anymore?"
Su Xing smiled shyly yet gently. He struggled a bit to lift his hand to touch Shen Jingyu's hand. Seeing Shen Jingyu's weak appearance made him reluctant to be too cold towards him.
Shen Jingyu moved his hand beneath Su Xing's palm. "Don't be angry; I'm fine now," Su Xing said lightly.
"Who said you're fine? Do you know how serious your condition is? If you can't even wake up now, how am I supposed to live?"
From Shen Jingyu's and Pei Yufei's eyes, Su Xing could tell that there were still serious issues at play. In truth, Su Xing could feel that he had no strength left in his body at all!
No wonder Shen Jingyu was so cold!
"As long as I’m alive! As long as you’re alive! We must leave the most beautiful smiles for each other, right?"
Su Xing's attitude was something Shen Jingyu absolutely could not agree with at that moment.
Pei Yufei expressed his apologies: "Su Xing! This incident has taught me a lesson! I should have stopped you in time. If I had another chance to choose, I would definitely stop you from doing this!"
Since he had apologized to Captain Shen, who didn’t want to listen anyway, he could only express his regret to Su Xing.

A little while later, Mu Beiyao and Lu Xiangyi arrived. They engaged in lively conversation with Su Xing, who recounted her adventures as if they were heroic tales.
Shen Jingyu sulked in silence nearby. It wasn't until Shen Lao arrived that he stepped out to communicate with him.
Shen Zhengxin was also present, having only caught a distant glimpse of Deng Xiaoya while she was unconscious.
His eyes reflected a myriad of emotions, and Shen Jingyu remained by his side without uttering a word for a long time.
In another suite not far away, the grandfather and grandson sat facing each other.
"Jing Yu, Zhan Ying has finally been caught! All information regarding the Zhan Family's assets has been completely wiped out."
Although there might still be some remnants active, they were no longer a threat!
"After some time, I can finally tell you the secret about your father," Shen Zhengxin said.
Shen Jingyu's eyes regained a glimmer of light, merely holding onto the hope for closure regarding this matter.
"If you’re unwilling to speak, I’ve formed my own judgments. Perhaps soon, I will find them!"
"It’s not that they are hard to find; it’s that they don’t want to come back," Shen Zhengxin's words struck Shen Jingyu like a bolt from the blue, chilling his heart for a moment.
