The door swung open.
Sun Lang was lying on the ground, his head facing the door.
His face was pale, his tongue protruding, and there was a distinct mark around his neck!
The room was in disarray, books and various daily items scattered all over the floor! It looked as if it had just been ransacked by thieves!
Feng Zitian screamed and ran frantically down the stairs.
In the first-floor dormitory office, the administrator, elder Ma, was dozing in his chair when he was abruptly awakened by the frantic entrance of Feng Zitian.
Feng Zitian shouted "Help!" as she grabbed elder Ma and immediately dashed back upstairs.
elder Ma sensed that something was wrong and hurriedly followed Feng Zitian, panting heavily.
However, upon reaching the scene, an even stranger occurrence unfolded! Feng Zitian was screaming and holding her head, while elder Ma looked on in confusion: "What on earth happened?"
"The body... the body..." Feng Zitian was so terrified that she could barely speak.
It turned out the body was gone! In such a short span of time, it had vanished from the scene!
A few minutes later, the police arrived and began searching each dormitory one by one.
Since there were backup keys for each dormitory at the administrator's office, the police took the keys and started trying them out one by one!
The police had cordoned off the entire Phoenix Park, believing that the murderer could not have moved the body out of the dormitory building in such a short time. Therefore, it was reasonable to assume that the body was still inside.
When they reached Dormitory 716, next to Feng Zitian's room, the officers sensed something was off.
The door was locked from both inside and outside, making it impossible to open with a key from the outside.
The administrator, elder Ma, said, "There’s a student who stays here, but he hasn’t returned since yesterday!"
The police were skeptical and knocked forcefully on the door for quite some time, but no one came to answer.
Officer Yang, who was in charge of the case, muttered, "Something's not right!"
He immediately ordered someone to climb over from the balcony of Dormitory 715 to the neighboring balcony.
Since there was only a wall separating the two balconies, it wasn't difficult to make the jump.
Soon, the officers were left stunned.
The body had indeed been moved to this neighboring dormitory, but the Glass Sliding Door between the balcony and the interior of this room was also locked from the inside!
Officer Yang scratched his head, looking frustrated. He rested his chin on his left hand and pondered deeply.
From what they could gather at the crime scene, it appeared that a thief had broken in and happened to be caught by the victim, leading to a murder to silence him.
Under normal circumstances, a thief should have fled immediately, so why did he return to move the body to the next room? Could it be that this is actually a murder case? Did the killer deliberately create such a façade to make us believe it was a burglary gone wrong?
How did the murderer manage to create this locked room? Officer Yang found himself increasingly confused, with no clues to follow.
The most incredible person he had ever met in his life was his university classmate, Xiao Wentai.
Xiao Wentai often wore glasses as thick as the bottom of a bottle, and his thin frame made him appear fragile. When he pondered over something, his small eyes would squint into slits, yet this did not diminish the sharpness and depth of his gaze.
His hair was always messy, rarely combed; he would go months without visiting a barber, reportedly because he disliked anyone touching his head.
Sixty percent of the time, he seemed lethargic and dispirited, while the remaining forty percent, he would become overly excited, talking excessively and becoming quite annoying.
Of course, when he saw a beautiful woman, even in his most listless state, he would instantly perk up.
He claimed that his intelligence would skyrocket upon seeing a beautiful woman, though whether that was true remained uncertain.
Aside from beautiful women, his greatest passions were reading and thinking. He welcomed all sorts of chaotic subjects with enthusiasm, immersing himself in them, which contributed to his vast knowledge.
Most importantly, he often had many absurd and bizarre ideas, some of which were downright shocking!
