After discovering the conspiracy of the the Claudie Family, Leon and Theodore fell into deep contemplation. Under the moonlight, which poured like water over the estate's courtyard, Leon sat alone on a stone bench, gazing at the night sky, his thoughts tangled like a mess of threads. He reminisced about the peaceful times he spent in Maple Leaf Village with Alice and Oliver—simple and beautiful days. Back then, he was far removed from the family’s conflicts and power struggles, filled only with love for life and appreciation for friendship.
However, the wheels of fate turned mercilessly, pulling him back into a world rife with brutal struggles. He recalled the helplessness and anger he felt during his imprisonment in the castle, and the life-and-death crisis now facing his family intensified his sense of responsibility. He understood that he could no longer evade his duties as he had before; he must confront everything with courage.
Theodore emerged from the house and approached Leon, who sat alone in the courtyard. “Leon, what are you thinking about?” Theodore's voice broke the silence.
Leon turned to look at Theodore and sighed softly. “I was thinking about how our family was once so glorious, yet now we face such a tremendous crisis. This is all due to our negligence and weakness.”
Theodore sat down beside Leon and, after a moment of silence, said, “Leon, this isn’t your fault or mine. In this complex world, we can’t foresee every danger.”
Leon shook his head. “No, Theodore. We should have been more vigilant; we should have prepared better for our family's future. But at a critical moment, I chose to escape and left the family to pursue that fleeting peace.”
Theodore patted Leon on the shoulder. “Leon, don’t blame yourself. Your experiences in Maple Leaf Village have made you more mature and resilient. That is a valuable asset for our family.”
Leon looked at Theodore, gratitude flickering in his eyes. “Thank you, Theodore. Your words have made me realize that evasion solves nothing. We must bravely face the challenges posed by the the Claudie Family and fight for our family’s honor.”
In the days that followed, Leon underwent a profound transformation within himself. No longer was he an impulsive youth driven by emotional turmoil; he had grown into a leader bearing the weight of his family's responsibilities. He dedicated himself entirely to preparing for their defense, personally inspecting every fortification and guiding soldiers in their training.
One day at the training ground, Leon noticed a young soldier feeling disheartened due to the intensity of the drills. He approached the soldier, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “Young man, I know training is tough, but it’s for our family and our loved ones. Think about it—if we don’t put in the effort and the the Claudie Family attacks us, what suffering will our families endure?”
The soldier looked up at Leon’s determined gaze, feeling a surge of strength within him. “Sir, I understand! I will train hard!”
Leon nodded in satisfaction and continued to patrol the training ground. He knew that to lead his family through this crisis required not only formidable military strength but also unity and conviction among every family member.
Under Leon's influence, Theodore gradually became more mature and decisive. He began actively reaching out to various allies of the family, seeking their support and assistance. In his communications with these allies, Theodore demonstrated exceptional diplomatic skills, securing valuable resources and backing for the family.
One late night, Leon and Theodore gathered once again in the courtyard. After a period of hard work, they both witnessed the changes within their family and felt a sense of hope.
"Leon, I feel like our family is revitalizing," Theodore said with a smile.
Leon nodded. "That's right; this is the result of everyone's collective effort. But we must not let our guard down; the threat from the the Claudie Family still looms."
Theodore looked at Leon, his eyes filled with admiration. "Leon, I'm so grateful to have you by my side. Without you, I wouldn't know how to face all of this."
Leon chuckled softly. "We are brothers, part of this family. No matter what difficulties we encounter, we will face them together."
On that tranquil night, both Leon and Theodore experienced a profound transformation within themselves.
They emerged from confusion and fear, becoming more resolute and confident.
